💜 Success is a journey, not a destination and each day we love focusing on our CND athletes journey and helping each athlete achieve belief, confidence and skills. This weekend, we closed a chapter on our CND journey and vacated our Hattam Street gym location. After having started with roll out mats at the Kangaroo Flat leisure centre in 2008 and then getting our first gym location in Woodward Road with a 7 run sprung floor and dance floor, our move to Hattam Street was an important part of our journey as we transformed into the gym we are today at our new location for 2024 and beyond. The many fond memories at this location outweigh the memory of the 280 odd days that we were closed due to covid lockdowns during our tenure there. Some memories that stick in our mind are the Gym Showoffs each June with 350 odd family and friends there loudly supporting our amazing athletes, the full outs each team would perform for each other in the lead up to a competition or performance, the support our athletes would show each other when a new skill was achieved and the overall positive and supportive gym environment that it provided each athlete and team.

In 2024 the IWD campaign theme of "calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected,". In the past 17 years Cheer N Dance Bendigo has proudly created a culture of inclusion, value and respect for all those that are part of our CND family and Bendigo community and under Kim Manallack-Benstead’s (gym owner) leadership has challenged stereotypes to create opportunity for generations of Bendigo and regional Victorian athletes.
