Hospitality Job Camp ✅
Our last day was non alcoholic beverages. The students spent the day creating colourful and creative drinks - all sorts too, mocktails, frappes and milkshakes! There were plenty of orders taken and sugary goodness enjoyed!
We are so very proud of all the students who took part in the five sessions held in the past month! We think we have some super talented future hospitality stars! 🌟

Monday 3rd June
Righteous Pups
We got to train a puppy named Scamp! Newly arrived at Righteous Pups, Scamp was supported by Doxa students to walk on uneven surfaces, through a tunnel, up a ramp and down slippery steps.

Wednesday 29th May:
Out and About Elective
We made paper boats and had a race down the creek. It came down to Laura and Josh, Laura won!

Day 1 of Chartsec!
Students from Josh and Emily's class visited the Charlton Traffic Safety Education Centre on Friday 24th May. Students all had a go at driving the 1km track, practicing a variety of driving skills including steering, parking and overtaking. We are super proud of students for taking this opportunity to safely practice driving and especially while their peers were in the backseats!
Good luck to the second group, from Scott and Aminda's classes this Friday!

For participation program last week, some students headed out to Notley's campground to be in the bush for the afternoon. We made vanilla orange cakes over the fire and although they don't look that appealing, they were delicious! 🍊🍊

JOB CAMP - COFFEE! The beautiful arouma of freshly brewed coffee filled the hallway at Doxa School today. The students spent the morning becoming Barista extraordinaires. There was no shortage of taste testers, with the staff and students sampling many java delights. Thanks to Mark, Morris and the students for ensuring we got our cup of Joe! ☕☕☕

**Update - some positive feedback today from trainers Mark & Morris saying our students were eager to learn, listened well to instructions and very supportive of each other. So proud of our Safe, Kind & Curious Doxa students ❤️

On Friday, students unleashed their competitive spirits and showcased their skills for the Doxa School Olympics! With egg & spoon races, the bean bag toss & of course the Students Vs Staff tug-o-war (Which the staff won!) plus more, there was something for everyone!

Activities for next week from Monday 6th to Friday 10th May

What a day! Lancefield turned on the sunshine for our students to visit a not for profit animal rescue sanctuary, Edgar’s Misson. This was followed by a picnic lunch & a play in the beautiful autumn leaves.

Some special sushi chef’s were on this morning. 🍱

The righteous pups students had extra cuddles today.
