While shorter (4, 6 or 8 week) fitness challenges can be a great kick start they rarely create habit forming long-term change and we find a lot of people are going back to their old ways after it ends
We need consistency over a long period of time and a shift in mindset for true permanent change
This is why we have created a 12 Month Health and Wellness plan
Who is it for ?
* Anyone of any fitness level wanting to improve their physical and mental health
* The stop starter - for those that do great on a challenge or New Year resolution but fall off
* For anyone struggling with motivation which comes and goes (We need consistency)
* For those whose health/fitness never really recovered from Covid lock downs
* For anyone who feels they have zero fitness, we can start small and build week to week
* Anyone needing accountability in staying on track for their goals
Start date will be Monday 8th Jan with 2nd scan due 5th Feb (Can be flexible with start date)
Progress tracking- Scan results can also be focused on muscle gain not just fat loss but an overall improved body composition. Your goal could also be maintaining current level.
If we have 2 negative scan results in a row (2 months) we will schedule a catch up to go over why and try rectify, if the 3rd scan is also negative, we will look at other options for you.

Muscle growth, also known as muscle hypertrophy, happens when you combine the right resistance training workout program with adequate protein.
Following a challenging resistance training workout, the proteins in your muscle fibers break down into smaller components called amino acids, as a response to the stress and damage they take during your exercise. This process is called muscle protein breakdown.
If you’re eating enough protein, though, your muscle fibers can recover and rebuild, through a process called muscle protein synthesis.
So, if you want to make gains, eating plenty of protein is a crucial piece of the puzzle.
Experts recommend eating between 1.3-1.8 grams of protein per kilogram of your body weight daily to maximize muscle hypertrophy.
In addition, it’s also important to consider the kinds of protein that you’re eating to get closer to your goals.
For example, many plant-based protein sources are incomplete, which means that they don’t have all of the amino acids your body needs to build muscle.
If you’re trying to build muscle while following a plant-based diet, it’s a good idea to eat a variety of protein sources like nuts, seeds, whole grains, and legumes, which can help you get all of the amino acids you need to get in your very best shape.

What is Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis or BIA?

One of the most common misconceptions about changing your body composition is that the fat that you’re losing “turns into” muscle tissue.
On the surface, this idea does make sense. Since your fat shrinks when your muscle mass is growing, it’s easy to think that the two are related.
However, the process of body recomposition (aka building muscle while losing fat) is actually two separate processes: muscle growth and fat loss.
Muscle growth, or muscle hypertrophy, requires resistance training and an adequate diet with plenty of protein. This allows your muscle tissue fibers to grow bigger and stronger over time.
Fat loss, on the other hand, requires a negative energy balance. If you’re burning more calories than your body needs, your body then draws on your reserved energy stores — in other words, your fat tissue.
While you can certainly lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, they aren’t inherently linked. Rather, they are two different processes that ultimately add up to your overall aesthetic and fitness goals.

Buddha bowls are not necessary low calories, typically they can range from anywhere between 350-800 calories depending on what you include so it is important to adapt them according to your goals whilst maintaining the nutritional value and benefits.
