The Late Anastasios Karas (Karahontzitis) Born Asprokampos Corinthos, Greece 04/10/1934 -17/08/2024. Aged 89.

Today we with heavy heart, announce the passing of the Late Anastasios Karas, who leaves behind his beloved wife Vasiliki, chidlren Peter, Helen, Con, grandchildren, nephews and nices, brother and sister in laws, friends, Australia and Greece, this list is long. Anastasios, what words can be used to describe this man?, or his family?, well known in the Greek Community and general community, much loved by all and dearly respected, for us, there is a long history and he was truly loved by us and highly respected as with his entire family.

The honour placed by the family in us to take into our loving care, their beloved Anastasios touched us in so many ways, and only one thing is most important to us, that is to provide nothing more or less that "Dignity" he did and does deserve this, all dearly departed do.

Anastasios will truly be missed by all that know him, but his memory will never be forgotten, he will truly remain in the hearts and souls of all that loved him.

In Loving Memory The Late Lambros Stamatiou Aged 95.

We announce the sad passing of the Late Lambros Stamatiou, who leaves behind him, his beloved wife, Dorra, his beloved daughters Alexandra and Angela, his beloved Son-In-Laws Thanasi and Graeme, his beloved Grandchildren, Irene, Dorothea, Natasha, Lewis, his beloved brother Mimi and his beloved sister-in-law Vicky, and nieces and nephews and family and friends, here in Australia and in Greece.

Lambro was truly a unique and special man, he was witty, would say it as it was irrespective of whom it was and would always love to joke, but he was truly unique. Every soul has a uniquness in them, such as Lambro, once you met him, you would instantly see that special warmth and bond. He lived to a age of 95, for most of us, we will never see that age, for some we will, how we see it remains up to a higher authority, as in the case of lambro he was a firm believer in God. The time came for God to call for him, to ease and stop any further pain or suffereing that he may had as age will bring many issues up with a person. He passed peacefully and his soul is free. We see the pain and grief in the family as we have seen with every family we have served, each has their own way of expressing such pain and grief, yet for us, unless we can look the family in the eye, as we did and give them from within our heart and soul and they can see it in our faces that our words are genuine and sincere, then we are not human and only look at this as just another job. Well that is not the case and never ever has been, all our families irrespective of religeon or denomination have been and are treated with sincerity, and we serve with a genuine heart and above all we provide that dignity that their loved one truly deserves, as they were our own, as in the case of Lambro.

The family had options of others, yet they were drawn to us, for us, they placed upon us the most honouring part of allowing us to take into our care and prepare Lambro for his final time on this planet, before we lay him to rest.

Lambro and his family are very special to us, and was personally known by our CEO and our main qualified own embalmer, for whom he now has the task of spending the time with Lambro and prepare him for his final journey and to his final resting place, where he will be laid to enternal rest.

To all the Stamatiou Family, we extend to each and everyone of you our deepest and sincerest gratitude for the trust and honour bestowed upon us to take into our care, yours and our beloved Lambro. May his memeory remain enternal.

Lambros funeral service has been arranged and is scheduled for Friday, details will be published in local newspaper funeral notices.

Life itself offers no guarantee of our existance in this world, and it can and often does bring heart break and grief when a person of a young age and in the prime of their life is suddenly and unexpectadly taken.

Kyle was such a person, only 33 years of age, and a beautiful cheeky soul.

The family have been dealt with a very heartbreaking blow in their lives, the loss of their beloved Kyle. Our team at Guiding Light Funerals have been entrusted by them to take him into our care.

Kyle will ride his last ride on Friday the 19th of July 2024 to Forest Lawn Memorial Park - North chappel. The funeral service will commence at 9am. The hearse will be es**rted by family and friends by a bike cortege. Then the traditional Aboriginal smoking ceremony will commence before the service.

For those unable to attend we will provide a live link to the funeral service so as wherever you are, you can join they family and friends to honour, Kyle's last journey.

May Kyle find enternal rest and peace.

At the closing of the ceremony, we will es**rt the guests out of the chapel as the family have requested a private moment with their beloved Kyle to say their final goodbye. Please respect this precious time. Kyle's favourite Rugby League team was the Cronulla Sharks, so please feel freeto honour him with blue and white.

Having recently interacted with Guiding Light Funerals I can honestly say first hand that they do in fact serve with a heart!
When my beautiful dad, Ippokratis Pliatsikas passed away recently, a friend of the family recommended Guiding Light Funerals and knowing that they don’t take these recommendations lightly we decided to at least meet with them and see how we felt from there. I can honestly say that from the start we felt completely comfortable and that my dad’s service would be handled with the utmost respect and care. Everything was explained clearly and we were gently guided through the process that was of course very foreign to us. When everything was planned I remember feeling a huge relief that this important event in all our lives had been handed over to expert hands. From beginning to end the actual day of the funeral went smoothly and professionally and we felt that my beautiful father had been given the perfect service that he deserved. Some backgopund to Guiding Light Funerals. We are truly independtly owned by Australian Born Female, yes the CEO is a woman and has owned and operated Guiding Light Funerals Pty Ltd for since approximately 2005-2006. Over the years we have truly grown and have made our company name unique and that in itself, initially caused us some issues, where our competitors took advantage of the wording "Guiding Light ". In turn to protect our intellectual rights, we engaged our legal team to commence and prepare for Trade Mark (TM). Since the trade mark of the company and thw relevant words and logos etc, this had eliminated the issues we had and we are now fullly have our company protected with the intelectual rights, etc.

As time went on, we intially concentrated with the orthodox religeon, finding that our CEO being orthodox we would start here and branch out, which as time went on, we did. We got to the stage were the public was approaching us from various denominations, so we branched out and today, we service all denominations and communities.

So what makes us different to others?, well, we all pretty much do the same things at funerals, presentation, service, etc., but there is a huge difference with us, we genuienly serve with a heart.

We can provide any family services locally or interestate, as we do NOT need to call up funeral homes around the country and negotiate any service and price, we have our branches in every major city throughout Australia. All services are overseen directly with us, the families deal direct with us.

For local repatriations from any state in Australia to Sydney NSW, we have the family covered, for local repatriation from Sydney NSW to any state, we have the family covered, for funeral services, or internatiional repatriations from any state we have the family covered.

Our biggest asset is our very own BIE Qualified Embalmer and fellow BIE Qualified Embalmers Australia wide, most of them own their own funeral homes, so we do have a connection with each and every one of them.

In Loving Memory - Late Pania Lourienne Hanna - Aged 44

Life itself offers no guarantee of our existance in this world, and it can and often does bring heart break and grief when a person of a young age and in the prime of their life is suddenly and unexpectadly taken.

Pania was such a person, only 44 years of age, a mother and grandmother and a daughter to her beloved parents. The family have been dealt with a very heartbreaking blow in their lives, the loss of their beloved Pania. We at Guiding Light Funerals were approached by the family and we were entrusted by them to take into our care, Pania, to prepare her for her last day in this world, and arrange her funeral service, all they asked was for was dignity nothing more and nothing elaborate, a simple service, a dignified service, to remember their beloved Pania and give her a send off truly worthy and where she can finally rest in peace.

Pania's funeral has been set down for Tuesday 11th June 2024 commencing at 10.30am. for those unable to attend we will provide a live link to the service so as wherever you are, you can join they family and friends to honour, Pania.
