Mei is one of our remedial and pregnancy massage therapists who often receives gifts of thanks from her clients and it’s nice to see these beautiful flowers of gratitude given to her in recognition of the often unspoken but very intuitive bodywork she does with people who come to see her. 💝

I truly deeply felt a client appreciation on their healing journey to health. This makes my heart open filled with gratitude. To be able to help them is what I love about what I do. I incorporate other modalities I have learnt throughout my years of being a massage therapist such as Reiki, acupressure, reflexology, cupping, dry needling, trigger points. I’m working with my intuition to listen to what your body needs at the time of treatment.

So many gorgeous babies who have spent time with us at Sage as we massage their mums (and them 💕), throughout their pregnancies are born every year and we do love to celebrate them all !

When we massage women regularly this helps them relax, alleviates stress and the inevitable aches and pains, improves circulation for both the mother and the baby, which also improves nutrition and can also help women to sleep. It can be a game changer !

We also provide therapeutic Practitioner only supplements and free advice to support mother and baby throughout their pregnancy.

Herbal medicine and targeted supplements are available for help with fertility for both parents.

Acupuncture is available as well as Pregnancy massage and are covered by Health Funds.

We have two trained doulas and a wonderful acupressure therapist as our massage therapists, so women are in very good hands.

Acupuncture towards end trimester is recommended from week 37 once a week.

This may assist in;

- moving endorphin throughout the body

What a great night last night at the Pavilion celebrating International Women’s Day with Aunty Lola welcoming us to country, Mayor Paula Masselos introducing us to the powerhouse Diana Olsberg who has brought so much to women and all Australians with her commitment to community, her expertise into ageing, money and super, which she wrote a very comprehensive book about, and who starred in Surrogate Grandmothers along with Rita who we also met - these are incredible women who are still contributing and connecting to our community and who deserve all the love and recognition we can offer to them.

I woke up at 4am this morning to rustling sounds in my bedroom and found a little baby ringtail possum had made its way through my window - at first I thought it was a rat 😂but thankfully - a shy little baby possum.

Being from NZ I love possums - but you have to be careful as they have very sharp claws !

The ringtail are very very shy of humans but also love warmth so they have been found sleeping next to people on their pillows in their beds ! Nothing to be scared about (most people are mind you) - you just need to be slow and careful and get a towel and wrap them up so they can’t hurt you.
I let this little one sleep on top of my fridge and took him out this morning to sleep in my fig tree.

Birds attack possums so juveniles have to be protected by their parents so I’m praying they find him sleeping safely out in my backyard today.

We are celebrating MV Skintherapy and how Sharon’s Pure essential oils are so different from so many on the market.

When you look at claims on bottles of essential oils you’ll see things like “100% pure” or “100% Natural” or “Pure & Natural” and it’s all very confusing.

To put it simply - essential oils are botanical extracts obtained from twigs, leaves, flowers or stems and then distilled.
But, now here’s the rap, you can be buying a synthetically created oil which is described as an essential oil - but having little relation to a real organic or wild crafted living plant infused essential oil.

I’ve been to the Verona the past two nights watching “One Life” which was a brilliant deeply emotional film acted beautifully by Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter - and a funny slightly dark French film “Coup de Chance”. However I discovered that the Verona - our beautiful meeting place and cultural movie house - is yet another great community space being torn down and replaced with more (boring) apartments. 😞 they have been trying to get the owners to keep them there but no, they don’t perhaps understand the cultural relevance, value and importance of having an accessible movie house available for locals to come to and learn through the stories told in great movies.
They will be closing end of this month and moving to Bent St at Fox Studios.
A great loss to this community and an iconic space we have all loved for many years.
Thanks to the Verona team for their spirit and passion thus far. ❤️❤️
