Hello Qfish family. We want to apologise that with all thats going on this week we will not be taking pre orders for Easter.
Despite our best intentions, logistically it will just be too difficult and we do not want to let any of our customers down.
We are however making some grab and go platters for 2 and 4 people that you can purchase when you come in AND we are opening for extended hours so you have longer to shop and hopefully wont need to wait.

12 oysters, shucked
¼ cup champagne
2 tablespoons champagne vinegar
2 teaspoons shallots, finely chopped
Fresh cracked pepper
Lemon wedges, optional
Freshly grated horseradish, optional
Crushed ice, to keep oysters cool.

On days like these I always feel like a rich and warming seafood Bouillabaisse 🦞
Traditional provencal Bouillabaisse is consists of a mix of fish and seafood simmered in a rich broth. My easy version requires only a few types of seafood and comes together in under an hour with the help of store-bought fish broth.
Ingredients
3 Tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 carrot, chopped
6 small potatoes, chopped
1 small bulb fennel, trimmed and chopped
pinch saffron
4 cups fish broth
1 can crushed tomatoes
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 kilo fresh cod or another fish of choice, diced
8 raw prawns, shells on
8 small clams
8 mussels
Garnishes and accompaniments: Chopped fennel fronds, chopped parsley, slices of toasted baguette
Rouille sauce (see notes below)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven or other heavy-bottomed pot over medium high heat. Add onion, garlic, celery, carrots, potatoes, fennel and saffron until translucent. Add tomatoes and fish broth and bring to a boil. Cook stew until thickened, about 20 minutes. If you’re planning to serve the stew immediately, continue to step 2. If serving later, allow stew to cool completely and store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. When ready too serve, bring back to a simmer over medium heat before continuing to step 2.
Lower heat to simmer and add fish, adjusting heat to keep the liquid bubbling gently. Add cod or other diced fish first. Follow with clams about 5 minutes later. Finally, add the prawns and mussels. Cover the pot and continue simmering until clams and mussels are open and prawns pink.
Adjust salt and pepper to taste. Ladle stew into bowls and serve with toasted bread slices and rouille.
Notes
To make rouille, combine one minced garlic cloves, a 1/4 cup of finely minced jarred roasted red pepper, and cayenne pepper with 1/4 cup mayonnaise.

Searing salmon in a hot pan is one of our favourite ways to eat salmon. Minimal ingredients and maximum taste, while allowing the flavour of salmon to shine through and taste absolutely delicious. You really can’t go wrong with this recipe. It comes together fast, making it perfect for any night of the week.
How to make pan seared salmon with lemon garlic butter sauce;
Grab all of your ingredients first as this recipe cooks fast!
Skinless salmon fillets ($29.90 per Kilo at Qfish)
Lemon juice
Olive oil
Butter
Garlic
FRESH Parsley
How to sear salmon;
Dry room temperature salmon filets with paper towel.
Season all over with salt and pepper.
Squeeze lemon juice over each fillet.
Heat oil in a large non-stick pan or skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
Sear salmon flesh side down, pressing them lightly so the entire surface of the flesh comes into contact with the pan, until crispy and golden.
Flip and sear the other side until the outside is crispy.
Add in the butter, garlic, parsley and lemon juice, stirring the melting butter around each fillet. (The butter will begin to brown slightly.)
some tips:
A good quality non stick pan will save you unnecessary stress of salmon sticking to a non-seasoned pan, and many tears of frustration
You can substitute the butter with 2 tablespoons of olive oil if your hesitant to use butter
Add in a splash of white wine also for a gourmet feel! (I usually add in 3-4 tablespoons)
Fresh parsley is the only way to go with this! I don’t really recommend cooking or garnishing with dried parsley
This pan seared salmon recipe is restaurant quality, ready in under 15 minutes! Perfectly cooked, crispy and flaky salmon with a silky, buttery lemon garlic sauce.
