Dear friends and followers of Reach Supports,
We wanted to take a moment to recognize one of our own, Amos, who is leaving our team to pursue new opportunities. Amos has been an instrumental part of our organization, providing critical mental health and psychosocial services to our clients with passion and dedication.
While we are sad to see Amos go, we are also incredibly proud of him for taking this next step in his career. He is a driven and ambitious young man who will be heading off to Charlesville to set up similar services for people in need in that area.
We want to thank Amos for his hard work and contributions to our team and clients. He will be missed, but we know he will continue to make a positive impact on people's lives wherever he goes.
Please join us in wishing Amos all the best in his future endeavors. We are excited to see what he will achieve and look forward to staying in touch with him.
Sincerely,
The Reach Supports Team

We all deserve to be nurtured, even by ourselves. π€ β€οΈ
Practising self-compassion, by reframing our critical thoughts, can help to create positive feelings and regulate our emotions. This can help us in times of distress, as well as in our daily life.

BREAKING: Lockdown will be extended in South-East Queensland until 4pm Sunday 8 August.
If you are in the local government areas of Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Moreton Bay, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Noosa, Somerset, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim, you can only leave home for the four permitted reasons.
It is so important to limit your movements as much as possible - only leave home if it is essential.
If you do leave home for one of the permitted reasons, you must wear a mask.
Anyone who has been in an impacted local government area since 1am Saturday 31 July must observe the same lockdown conditions wherever you are in Queensland.
These measures are critical to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
LOCKDOWN: Parts of South-East Queensland will enter a hard lockdown from 4pm today.
If you live in any of these 11 South-East Queensland local government areas, there are four permitted reasons to leave your home:
1. To buy essentials such as groceries or medications within 10km from your home.
2. Work if you can't work from home. No school, except for children of essential workers.
3. Exercise within 10km from home with no more than one person from outside your household.
4. Healthcare, including to get a COVID-19 vaccination or test, or to provide help, care or support to a vulnerable person.
If you leave home for one of these four reasons, you must wear a mask.
No visitors are allowed to your home, except to provide care for someone vulnerable.
Visitors are restricted to hospitals, aged care, disability services and correctional centres, and weddings and funerals are limited to 10 people.
Restaurants and cafΓ©s can open for take away or delivery only.
If you have been in any of the restricted areas since 1am Saturday 31 July, you must observe the same lockdown rules wherever you are.
These restrictions are hard, but they are necessary to keep Queensland safe.
