Hello from the city with the best winter weather, Brisbane!

Here are the first two weeks' of June excursion from LSI Brisbane.

First two photos were taken at the Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art. We love the photos and we would love to have you there next time!

The other photos were from June 14's excursion day at Brisbane's City Botanic Gardens. This was just a perfect place and time to enjoy the very nice weather that we have in Brisbane.

Friday is Excursion Day!

Posting some photos from our last two weeks' excursions.

31st of May was a tour day to Brisbane's famous landmark, Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. This has been a favorite place for our students where they can enjoy the gardens showcasing different plant species - from Australia's native flora to some exotic plants. Learning does not stop at school as students take a chance to communicate with fellow students and their teachers while walking and enjoying the green surroundings.

And last Friday, 7th of June, our students went to Roma Street Parkland. This is another relaxing and fun moment to our students. Our students were able to enjoy Brisbane's winter season at 23 degrees but still with the sun shining! Another perfect time to do barbeque and have conversations in Roma Street!

One of our delightful students turned 18!

A simple surprise party was thrown to our celebrant, Paulo with the Intermediate class! A great time was had by all! Happy birthday, Paulo! 🎂 We hope we made your day special 😊

One of LSI Brisbane's afternoon activity is playing board games.

Some might say it's boring, and some did not know that playing board games can be very a fun and effective way to learn the English language.

As an international language school with students from all around the world, playing board games is a good way to help students communicate with each other while strategizing, planning, or just simply socializing. It serves as a great listening and speaking opportunity to all students.

We offer this kind of activity as we believe that it could help students expand their vocabulary and contextual learning.

Fun snacking is just a bonus to boost the student's energy and keep the game going! 😁

Another fun game for our Thursday afternoon activity.

Some our students played a poker while betting with their monopoly bills! Card games never get out of style especially when you have friends to play and talk with.
And of course, free snacks on the table to keep the game going!

For this week's Friday excursion, we took some of our students to the Royal Queensland Art Society's Petrie Terrace Gallery to see the exhibition "BRISBANE: Landmarks, Landscapes and Personalities"

Our last Friday's excursion was not technically an excursion but was the best soccer time for our students! The weather was just perfect for a nice game at the New Farm Park, Brisbane.

Here at LSI Brisbane, we make sure to offer students fun activities including sports giving them opportunities to enjoy the great weather in Brisbane.

Last Wednesday, 24th of April, Cristian from ACTIT - Australian College of Tourism and Information Technology, presented how ACTIT offers great courses to students. We are very lucky to be in partnership with Brisbane's one of the best providers of quality vocational education in travel, tourism, events, hospitality, IT and community services.

What has happened in LSI Brisbane?

April 19 : As we did not have graduates for this week, LSI organized an excursion to Anzac Square and Memorial Galleries in Brisbane. This was in preparation of Anzac Day which was celebrated last April 25.

ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Anzac Day is a remembrance for Australian and New Zealand soldiers who formed part of the allied expedition that set out to capture the Gallipoli peninsula.

Meaningful excursions like this give our students good learnings about Brisbane so we never miss including one in a week!

An art-filled Friday!

Our students went out today and spent the afternoon at Victoria Park, Spring Hill to unleash their artistic side.

Every Friday, LSI Brisbane organizes an excursion for our students as a good way to end each week. Today, it was for a fun activity which we called "Art in the Park".

It was a serious but definitely a wonderful time for all! We will surely do this again.

As always, we are very proud of our students who are graduating every Friday.

Thank you for learning the English language with us. Your teachers and friends will surely miss you!

Every Friday, we offer a free or paid excursion to students so they can relax and explore Brisbane!

Some of our students dropped by the Queensland Art Gallery last Friday. Striking a pose never gets old especially if you are into arts, because why not?

We were wondering how their photos came out? 🤔

Last March 8, LSI Brisbane waived goodbye and wished good luck to a big group of students who graduated on their respective English courses - a mixed of different nationalities which included more than 30 Japanese students who took short-term courses at LSI.

It was a bitter-sweet moment for all the students and teachers, but was also a fulfilling experience to all!

LSI Brisbane is more than happy to see students finish their courses and receive their certificates after a job well done!
