What a HUGE term it has been for our team and families. Here's a brief run down of the past 10 weeks.

In Term 3, Active Speech:
👋 Farewelled a fantastic therapist in Cara and began the hunt for our next team member (this is continuing!)
🌸Welcomed the wonderful Katie on board as part of our 'behind the scenes' client care team. More on Katie soon!
😷 Championed through (another) lockdown
📱 Implemented a new payment system in Medipass that means fast and easy payments for clients
🗣 Held close to 200 sessions in the clinic, at schools and online.
📚Planned Literacy groups for the upcoming school holidays.
👩‍🎓 Learned about Growth Mindset, Narrative Therapy and several different approaches to treating speech sound disorders.

Phew! Thank you to Abby and Sydney for your dedication and care, to Katie for successfully keeping many balls in the air and to our families for your continued support. We're already looking forward to what Term 4 has in store.

A 📸 from yesterday's team meeting - Cara is completing Shape Coding™ training and shared with the team her learnings so far.

Shape Coding™ is used to teach spoken and written grammar to school-aged children, between the ages of 7-20, with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).

The Shape Coding™ system uses a visual coding system to show a child/ teenager the rules for how words are put together in sentences, to develop their understanding of spoken and written grammar and to develop their ability to use grammar successfully to express themselves.

We're looking forward to adding this tool to our therapy toolkits! 🧰
