RIVER & HOUSE BRISBANE is a terrific youtube video made by a clever QUT film team.
Much of it was filmed in my painting studio. It features myself, Debra Hood, a well known Brisbane graphic artist and young & sassy artist, Phoebe Paradise.
Zuveen, the producer, scored a semi-final place at the International Women in Film event in Perth and
NOW it showing in the finals, at The Independent Film Festival, on Saturday - 28 Oct.
at METRO ARTS, 97 Boundary Street, West End.

Christmas lodgement dates for most Australian states

We are recommending lodgement by the following dates for delivery within most states in Australia by Christmas (*excludes items sent to and from Perth and Darwin):
Parcel Post: Tuesday 19 December**
Express Post: Thursday 21 December

If you believe they will get your parcel there on time before Christmas with these dates... I've got an original Monet here you can have for $200 🤣🤣🤣

It's getting close - lock these dates into your calendar so you can place your orders in time for Christmas.

Always check with your Courier regarding their policy on carrying art as freight...

The definition we have received around artwork is: Anything that is framed – whether it has glass or not. This could include framed photos, art, paintings, jerseys etc. Anything on a canvas

NEW SCAM...

We've just discovered a very sly and sneaky scam whereby an email account can be hacked, PDF invoices created in Xero or MYOB can have their details altered to change the bank account details to direct funds to a different account.

One of our clients has been paying invoices for years by going to the bank and making payments to our account using the details that are embedded into our PDF invoices. However on the last invoice he received from us these details had been altered by a hacker and he didn't notice - we didn't notice anything until we contacted him to chase up payment. An invoice from a week earlier was paid on time and correctly.

He said "But I've paid that account" and sent us a copy of the deposit and a copy of our invoice - that's when we noticed the change to our banking details on his copy of the invoice. Our copy still had our details on it. He had actually paid the money to someone else - the hacker, who's account was in !

This is a difficult scam to keep tabs on - if you get invoices from us regularly and do online banking, using the same bank details, and we've always received the funds, there should be no problem UNLESS - you notice our details have changed and you change them at your end.

We've used the same bank account for about 15 years now - changing would be a headache for us and you so it's unlikely we would change.

If you see a change or think something is odd - please contact us.

This client has reported this to his bank, who are now investigating, I'll keep you informed of the outcome.
