🌟✨ You're invited to the 2024 Rotary District 9620 Interact Conference! ✨🌟

Join us on Sunday, 28 July 2024 at Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie) from 8:30am to 3:00pm for a day filled with inspiration, empowerment, and connection. High school students from around Queensland will come together to hear from our amazing lineup of guest speakers, participate in engaging breakout sessions, and experience the excitement of our House of Friendship.

Our guest speakers include Kevin Humphreys - Keynote Speaker, an ex-Army Officer, rescue helicopter pilot, and mental health ambassador, Ned Heaton from The Turtle Tribe 🐢,and a representative from the Swimming Gift 🏊‍♀️ (Global Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Rotary Club). Their stories and insights will leave you motivated and ready to make a difference in your community.

This conference is a must-attend event for you and your fellow Interactors, offering dynamic discussions and a chance to delve deeper into important topics in an open forum. This year's theme is 'What would my hero do,' encouraging our young leaders to step outside of themselves and envision a world where limitations, self-doubt, and lack of skills are no barriers to making a positive impact.

Special thanks to this years host and sponsor club Briz Pride Rotary Club! We look forward to working with you! 🏳️‍🌈 🏫 📖

We want to inspire these future leaders to be brave, tenacious, and visionary - and we need your support to make it happen!

Purchase your tickets as soon as possible and consider buying raffle tickets to help support the conference and the incredible work of our Interact community. Tickets can be purchased at https://events.humanitix.com/d9620-interact-conference-2024

We are thrilled to inform you that the recent donation drive aimed at the Turkish Nurses Association was a resounding success.

The boxes of donations have been collected and are now primed for shipping to Turkey. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the RC Nomads for their generous contribution of five boxes of items, which will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Additionally, we appreciate their willingness to cover fifty percent of the shipping costs, which is a remarkable gesture of kindness and support. We would also like to acknowledge Mel Sheppard, Business Development Executive at Mainfreight, whose remarkable efforts and dedication made it possible to coordinate transportation of the boxes from Wendy's office in the Lockyer Valley to the Turkish Nurses Association Office in Istanbul.

Her unwavering commitment and expertise have been critical in ensuring the smooth transfer of donations to those in need. Once again, we express our sincere appreciation to all parties involved in making this initiative a success.
