21 years today!! Finally have the key 🔑 to the city or maybe just Camp Hill and Coorparoo!! We couldn’t have done it without our community who have supported us from the beginning. I’ve received many messages over the weekend reminiscing about Mums bringing their little ones to our cooking classes when they were 4 years old. Coming and sitting in our window sharing treats and breakfasts with their babies who are now celebrating formals and engagements. It has been a joy and a privilege to walk beside you on your families journey for so long. As you have shared in mine. My children now are either working or have worked in our little shop and many of you would remember me holding them in my arms as newborns and then toddle around creating mayhem!! We have had an incredible team over the years, many of whom have been with us for a very very very long time (Erin coming up to 18 years!! 🫶🎉) and many have come and gone and come again. Without the love and support from them we wouldn’t be here. Go Team Pickle!! Running a small business is tough but so are we. I’m not ready to hang the mantle so we are bringing small changes every week to stay relevant in a constantly moving arena. We are so very grateful every time you pop in, every time you stay and chat, every time you share your life with us. From the bottom of my heart we truly love you all!! 💛🫶🩷 #21

TEAM PICKLE 💛🩷

This weekend I had the amazing opportunity to head to Orange 🍊and take part in The Huddle run by a group of girls that have a fab local business called Jumbled. It’s a hard event to describe but for me it was a gathering of business women from all walks of life who are looking for ways to grow and invigorate their businesses. Lots of inspirational mentors that have a wealth of knowledge to bestow, especially in the current market we are all facing. Small business has had a barrage of challenges in the past five years.. I don’t even need to name them to be honest as I know you all know what I’m talking about.
Our 21st birthday is coming up in May and The Pickle is very excited to finally be a grown up and get the key 🔑 to the city!!
I’ve been thinking about the direction the business is going in recent months and I’m really excited about the changes we have planned. As a business woman wearing a lot of hats the changes will come one bite at a time 🍏!!
Exciting for all of us and also something that will be a work in progress. So please hang in there and be patient. In many ways we will be staying with our ethos of community, family and nurturing and nourishing home cooked food but with some new additions. I’m still so excited for my little biz and as always so very very grateful to you all. Love you all to bits!!

Baby Shower ready!!

The Pickle is 19 today!!! What a ride it’s been. The past couple of years have tested us all and to be celebrating today is testament to the amazing community we are part of. I had a customer in earlier this week who hadn’t been in for years and she said it’s just like coming home. Music to my ears!! Our team has shifted and changed over time but each and every one of them has played a part in us continuing to open the doors day after day. One of our newest crew was reminiscing about doing our kids cooking classes when she was younger and that brought home to me how we’ve been involved in so many lives for all of these years. Two of my daughters now work with us in the business and my pride for them is immeasurable. There’s not too many 22 year olds that can say they can run a catering event for 250+ people. I know this is merely a stepping stone for them and the many who have come before but the skills they have and will continue to learn will be with them forever. Enough of my sentimental journey. To our customers, our team and our little corner shop that has provided for our family for all these years I give the greatest thanks. I still love this business as much as when we opened the doors and I hope we can continue to do so for many more to come!! My 💛 is very full!!
