Summary: On the back of growing awareness of the health risks associated with mould exposure, building owners and facility managers should be taking a more proactive approach to remediation to ensure the well- being of employees and building occupants. In Australia, the combination of floods, water bombs, high ambient humidity, poor indoor moisture management and closed building have resulted in significant mould problems in buildings. Just this year, a NSW School suffered a major close due an outbreak on the school grounds. However, while there can be significant health impacts related to the onset of mould exposure there are also incredible financial impacts which include property damage, increased insurance costs and legal liabilities. During this session the panel will address the increase prevalence in our market citing real case studies and delve deeper into the actions plans required by both facility managers and the contract cleaners.

The students this week were broken up into teams for the building component of the course. Several containments were installed with Coach8 largest to date built and tested. Wow! 😮

The students learnt the importance of pressures and the use of manometers. The application of AFDs and so much more.
Fabulous things learnt and many new friendships made.
