The act of writing a letter might seem small, but it carries immense significance. 💌✍️
Our ripple effect began at yConnect when we were introduced to the story of Abbie Williams, Founder and CEO of ‘Letters of Hope’. 📖
We spent time crafting supportive messages for individuals going through a tough time, allowing us to recognise the power of words; to uplift and connect. 📝
We’re grateful to know and support organisations like ‘Letters of Hope’ who continue to make the world a better place every single day. 🫶🤎💙
We had two incredible guest speakers join us onsite at yConnect ‘24. 🗣️🤎💙
It was an icy start to day two where we stepped into the invigorating world of the Wim Hof Method, led by Kirsti King, an expert in cold exposure techniques. 🧊🛁 We eagerly (or reluctantly) submerged ourselves into the ice baths, learning techniques to enhance our physical and mental resilience. For many, this was a new experience, and one that we won’t soon forget. 🥶🙌
On day three we immersed into connection with country, culture, and knowledge as our second guest facilitator, Chloè McGrath, lead our Acknowledgment of Country workshop. Each of us walked away with a a deeper understanding of the cultural significance embedded within these acknowledgments. ❤️💛🖤
This year was extra special as both our guest speakers are beloved members of our yLead community! 🤩
Thank you, Kirsti, for taking us through the exhilarating ice bath experience! Your expertise brought much clarity and your calming presence allowed us to take on this challenge knowing we were supported each step of the way. 🫶
Thank you, Chloé, for holding space with us, and for sharing your culture, knowledge and experience with us, we are so grateful. 🫶
On the first weekend of July, 47 yLead family members gathered on Yuggera Country, Atkinsons Dam, in South East Queensland, to Be Still and Dive In to their Ripple Effect at yConnect 2024. 🤎💙🌅🌀
Across three days, we embraced many challenges, and dived deep into our connection with self, others, and the environment around us. This was a unique and memorable experience for all of our ‘Puddle Pals’ at yCon! 💧🤝
Some highlight moments from the experience were receiving a letter from a loved one, testing our mind and body by jumping into an ice bath, understanding the Story We Tell Ourselves, and crafting Acknowledgments to Country on behalf of our wider community. 🧊🛁📖📝
We were so grateful for the opportunity to connect, and know that yConnect 2024 has left a lasting Ripple Effect in our community and beyond. 🫶
A snapshot of Term 2 at yLead looked like connecting with students and educators at In Schools and building mountains together on the Altitude Day stage; our IMPACT was far and wide! ⛰️🗣️
These numbers highlight one of our key values
💫TOGETHER HAS POWER 🌟 We have SO MUCH gratitude for the people in our world who commit to making the world a better place alongside us, our IMPACT contractors, yTeam community, educators, guest speakers, and beyond! 👏👏👏 We say thank YOU!

NAIDOC WEEK ‘24: Keep the fire burning! Blak, Loud & Proud 🔥📣
As an association, we have the privilege to lead, work, and learn on Indigenous Country across Australia and Aotearoa (NZ). 🫶✈️
In our commitment to Keep the Fire Burning, we hosted a yConnect workshop focused on creating Acknowledgements to Country for every land we work on. 📝👣
Facilitated by Chloé McGrath, a Mardigan Woman from Eulo, South Queensland and a beloved member of our yTeam; we were lead through a beautiful process of creating Acknowledgements to Country. ❤️🔥
With the collaboration of volunteers from across Australia and Aotearoa, each region’s acknowledgment highlighted the different parts of Country that we admire and connect with. ⛰️🌊⛅️
Thank you, Chloé for sharing your wisdom and experience, and for creating the space that allowed us to be curious and connect with culture and Country. ❤️🔥
At yLead, our core value is ‘Together Has Power’, these Acknowledgments are more than just words; they are a commitment to walk hand-in-hand with First Nations peoples, respecting and honouring their culture and preserving their stories for generations to come. 🤝
Slide One: This is our Acknowledgment to Yuggera and Turrbal Country, Meanjin (Brisbane).
