Our school Sports Day is this Thursday. This year we have introduced sports houses and students have all been assigned to a house.
The sports houses have been named after some incredibly talented and inspirational Paralympians - Dylan Alcott, Kurt Fearnley and Amanda Fraser.
Please contact your child's teacher if you have not received information about which house your child is in.
Book Week Parade
Our Book Week celebrations have continued throughout the week.
On Tuesday students participated in activities based around the book “Guess What We Are Doing Today” by Mr Luke. They played with dress ups and used their imaginations to make box castles, space ships, towers, cities and cubby houses and so much more.
On Wednesday, students explored the classic tale of Snow White and the book “Extra Yarn” by Mac Barnett. They made magic potions, joined in yarn craft and participated in magic races.
On Thursday, students engaged in the creation a whole school art piece around the book “Tamarra”. This book is shortlisted for the Eve Pownall Book of the Year award. Students read and watched a range of First Nations stories, explored First Nations symbols and artwork and everyone thoroughly enjoyed adding to the collective art work.
This morning we concluded our Book Week celebrations with our costume parade. Thank you to all the families and staff for your amazing efforts with costumes. Everyone looked fabulous!
This week we are celebrating Book Week. Yesterday’s activities were based on one of the books shortlisted for Early Childhood Book of the Year “Bear and Duck are Friends” by Sue DeGennaro.
Students created friendship sticks and talked about what makes a great friend. They also participated in crafts to make a bear and duck.
Todays’ book is “Guess what we are doing today” by Mr Luke. Stay tuned for more photos throughout the week.

Today we celebrated Principal Appreciation Day by holding “Arts with Abby” in the hall. Abby enjoyed doing art activities with students and she loved having the opportunity to chat with students and watch as they created some incredible artworks.
Abby, you do so much for our school community, some of which is seen and evident to all but we know there is plenty of hard work that goes on behind the scenes. You prioritise our students in every way and we hope you know that we appreciate all you do! Happy Principal Day!
Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for a wonderful day at our Family Fun Day.
Pyjama Day 2024 - thank you to everyone who participated in pyjama day and supported our student council to raise funds for children in foster care.
