MelanesianSpearhead GroupSecretariat consists of Vanuatu, PNG, Fiji, Solomon Islands and New Caledonia's FLNKS-Officiel.
At the Melanesian Spearhead Group meeting in Vanuatu this week West Papuans are again seeking full membership status.
For context, this report from MSG 2015 when West Papuaâs ULMWP membership bid resulted in only observer status (its highest level of diplomatic recognition) but Indonesia was upgraded to associate member.
Leaders from Vanuatu, PNG, Fiji, Solomon Islands and New Caledoniaâs FLNKS are expected in Port Vila.
