Over the weekend a local council candidate put a sign up on our door.

They later posted a photo to Facebook suggesting that we offered her support without the owner’s knowledge or permission.

To clear up any confusion - we just like to serve up seriously good pies, sandwiches and coffee for all our customers.

We are sorry if any of our customers took offense to the photo - we want to make tasty pastries and not political statements. We wish all councilors and candidates the best for the election.

Due to the public holiday this Monday 04/10, our store will be closed but will resume normal hours Tuesday.😊

Due to last night's announcement by the Australian Government, Brahman Pies will be implementing some important changes to the way we operate as of 12 Noon today.

As of 12 noon we will only be serving takeaway customers and will remove all our seating, this will hopefully have little impact on our staff and customers as we are predominantly a takeaway business already.

We also ask that people practice social distancing as much as physically possible.

We trust that you understand that the health and safety of our team and the wider community are paramount and we plan to do our bit.

It has come to our attention that there is a video doing the rounds on Facebook in India about our stores and name ‘Brahman Pies’. While we don’t speak Hindi, enough people have contacted us to give a brief overview of the video in question.

We at Brahman Pies would like to set the record straight for the people asking questions.

-We are a 100% Australian owned company (not Indian)

-We have nothing to do with Brahmin (an Indian Caste that is spelt differently)

-We named our pie shops after the Brahman Cattle which can be found on cattle properties all across Australia and are such amazing animals, if you have never researched Brahman cattle before please take the time to do so.

-The publisher of the video and his representatives have never contacted us by any means of communication for clarification of our name nor to inquire about the ownership of our amazing company.

-While the Internet can be a treasure trove of information there is also a lot of miss information and outright lies, this is one of those times.
