On Saturday night, a lovely community member, , held an event called “World Music Night” to raise awareness about domestic and family violence, with all proceeds going to Beyond DV.

What a beautiful event! We heard from , Anna from ECCQ - Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland and Umesh Chandra. I also spoke about the work that Beyond DV does and shared the story of one of our incredible women who has rebuilt her life so beautifully.

The entertainment was just fabulous- with over twenty unique performances! Sonalisa told me that everyone had been rehearsing for the past three months!

As I sat at the table, I felt myself becoming quite emotional. This woman, who I had never met before, decided to create this beautiful event to raise money just for us, spending so much of her own time and effort along with her friends and family. We really do feel the love from community and we are so grateful for your support.
