Tropical Papaya & Ginger Smoothie

Looking for an immune boosting tonic that packs a punch?

Then you’re going to love this vitamin C and anti-inflammatory packed glass of goodness. You might need to adjust the ginger initially and maybe add a bit more sweetness, so see how your taste-buds go.

Ingredients:

120g papaya
60g baby spinach
1 carrot
8-10 ice cubes
about 100ml of water (adjust to desired thickness)
1/2 teaspoon of liquid vitamin C
1/2 tsp finely chopped fresh ginger

Whizz it all up in your blender, I use a thermomix and drink as soon as you can.

Is it a herb or spice or vegetable?

I'd be hard-pressed to eat it like my other veggies so I'm going to go with a herb and a spice!

Either way I know it's a potent "food as medicine" with undisputed anti-viral properties, powerful detoxification abilities and one of nature's dynamic antibiotics.

Plus it transforms pretty much any meal. I was going to say "any dish" but I'd struggle to have it with dessert!

For an immune boost or anti-candida strategy, try eating a few raw cloves daily - although it might ward off more than just the bugs!
