I woke this morning to the incredibly sad news that the man behind the legendary Retro Lovely Magazine has passed away. Although we never met in person he was a friend and someone who has done a lot for me personally as well s helping my business.
Micheal was as a publisher, photographer, musician and legend.

At Easter, we travelled up to Rockhampton for the annual Rocky Nats and met lots of lovely pinups. We also sponsored the Rockabilly Nats Pinup Pageant won by

I have a spot for someone to do a Blue shoot for the Retro Lovely Magazine "Colors" series. Do you have an idea? So many things that are blue that might spark a concept - blue sky, ocean blue, blue jeans, baby blue, bluebirds ... the list goes on.

We are halfway through the Colors series and halfway to the goal of having a cover shot for each colour. We've managed to help local Aussie pinups onto 4 covers -white with Martini Minx , red with Lauren Rebelle , orange with Ali Amalfi and yellow with a second cover in the series with Martini Minx. Congratulations Ladies.

Still to come in the series are Green, Blue, Purple and Pink, lets see if we can continue the run of covers.

Just one month until we head to Far North Qld, with amazing locations like these who wouldn't want to be there.

Another magazine theme that could be good to shoot at this time, Bathing Beauties is scheduled to close in late August, the end of summer in the US but it's winter down here.

I'm in search of some mermaids! 🧜‍♀️ (real or someone dressing up)

Later this year, Retro Lovely Magazine is releasing its annual Siren Song special edition and I would love to help some local mermaids get published.

I've been scouting some locations, in Brisbane as well as the Gold and Sunshine coasts, to capture some great shots, but since the weather is cooling down I thought it would be best to try and shoot these sooner rather than later, even though the release date is a fair way off.
