The question everyone wants to know. What hops are in the Belgian Tripel?
Answer: Saaz and Tettnanger baby.
I think the real difference is instead of Belgian candy sugar (the preferred method in this style) we’ve used a syrup made from grapes that the wine industry use to carbonate champagne or sparkling wine. Leads to a drier finish than your typical Tripel. But at 9.2% it’s not for the light hearted, which is why we responsibly serve them in this classic glassware. À votre santé 🍷
Please join us for a Negroni tomorrow night (Thurs 19th) and help raise funds for a good cause We are kindly donating a portion of sales and prizes for a raffle, raising funds for Slow Food Brisbane.
Since its 2013 inception by Magazine, Negroni Week has brought people together to celebrate one of the world’s great cocktails. In 2023, 12,000 venues around the world were mixing classic and signature Negronis in support of Slow Food International.
There will be multiple versions of Negroni available, including the classic with our London Dry, a Bianco with our Essential, the coveted Barrel Aged a little surprise number to finish things off.
Stay for one or a few, it’s walk ins as per usual. We’d love to see you down here to support this worthy cause.

Noble hops, German Pilsner Malt & Doemens Academy Yeast. Flavour has a nice present hop character and bitterness than International Pale Lager. It’s also a drier, crisper finish than a Helles. Most of all it’s super, super refreshing. It’s our German style Pilsner. Taproom is open a little earlier today, from 2-8pm
Bar’s open from 3 till 9 for beers, gin & tonics…And snacks!
IPA brewed with Simcoe and Cascade. Tasting a treat. Last keg though.
Belgian style Wit Bier
Pleasant malty-sweet grain flavor. Refreshingly crisp with a dry, often tart, finish. Can have a low bready wheat flavor. Optionally has a very light lactic-tasting sourness. Herbal-spicy flavors, which may include coriander and other spices, are common should be subtle and balanced, not overpowering. A spicy-earthy hop flavor is low to none, and if noticeable, never gets in the way of the spices. Hop bitterness is low to medium-low, and doesn’t interfere with refreshing flavors of fruit and spice, nor does it persist into the finish.
…. You get the picture
Classic foam
If you love a good IPA, rest easy. On the 31st of August, will be pouring 20 IPA’s on tap, from breweries around the south east.
