Welcome to September "What's On at The Wellbeing Place".
As we enter spring, we have a new program commencing called 'Cuppa Conversations' which aims to provide an informal and safe space for people to connect and share experiences.
We look forward to welcoming you all to our various workshops and programs this month.

The RFDS is often the only healthcare provider for many of the communities we serve. Our primary health services help people stay in their communities, and our teams spread hope everywhere they go - that is certainly the message shared by all the community members interviewed by The Daily Telegraph at our weekly clinic for today's Sunday Tele.
The commitment our healthcare teams have to these communities - to find new ways to meet the growing demand, in spite of cost of service delivery going up and an increasing reliance on philanthropic giving - is one of the reasons why the Flying Doctor has lasted nearly a century.
Thank you to everyone from the Grawin community who shared their story about how vital the RFDS remains in the modern healthcare network. Your ongoing support is so appreciated. ๐๐ฉต
Pick up a copy of The Sunday Telegraph today, or if you're a subscriber, read online here:

Our newest medical recruits have spent the last few weeks familiarising themselves with the RFDS.
This included doing intense simulations of scenarios they could face such as farm accidents, heart attacks and motorcycle crashes and was done in collaboration with NSW Ambulance and Dubbo Rescue Squad - VRA Rescue NSW.
To add to authenticity we had some volunteers to come along and play victims including participants from the Sydney School of Rural Health.
We're pleased to say the induction went very well and we're excited to see the positive impact our new team members have within our regional communities.
Please welcome Josh Bamford to the RFDS as our Corporate Partnerships Lead in the Fundraising team at Sydney.
Josh was drawn to the Flying Doctor because of the incredible impact it makes for rural, regional and remote communities. โ๏ธ
He has a very interesting background and because of that a unique accent. Josh was born in the United Kingdom, but raised in the USA and spent time in Scotland before coming to Australia.
Josh has enjoyed getting out and about, including to AgQuip, and looks forward to meeting more of our valued network, so next time you see him make sure to say hello!๐

We wish to extend our deepest thanks to the Golf Club members at Louth who recently raised $13,574 for us. ๐๏ธ
During this year's Louth races, the club held its annual golf day and presented us with the donation.
Our Community Engagement Coordinator, Annette Ohlsen, met with members of Louth to graciously accept the donation (pictured).
Because of our generous supporters we can continue delivering the finest care to our valued communities.โ๏ธ
This October you can get fit, raise funds and help families in the bush access critical healthcare, by participating in the annual Oceans to Outback challenge. ๐๐ฒ
Now in its third year, the national fitness challenge invites people from across the country to walk, run or cycle during the month of October, all to raise funds and help the Flying Doctor continue delivering lifesaving care. โ๏ธ
Last year, approximately 16,000 people across the country logged over 1 million kilometres of activity and raised more than $3.5 million.
It is our hope that with everyoneโs ongoing support those figures can be smashed in 2024!๐

Did you stop by to say hi to Josh and explore our Mobile Education Unit at AgQuip? With the distances we travel - by road and by air - to deliver vital healthcare to regional, rural and remote communities, we rely on the generosity or supporters like our Major National Partner, Isuzu UTE Australia. ๐
Together, we are delivering the finest care to the furthest corner. โ๏ธ
Thanks for the update Josh! ๐คฉ
Day one at AgQuip in Gunnedah was a blast! ๐คฉ
We are so grateful to our Major National Partner Isuzu UTE Australia for inviting us to speak about the impactful work we are doing together to improve health outcomes for everyone who lives, works and travels in rural, regional and remote Australia. ๐ฉโโ๏ธ
We were also lucky to meet some great people at AgQuip yesterday. Hello to Sophie & Blake from NSW Ambulance, Bob (self-professed frequent flyer with 4 flights!) & Kate from Kootingal, Lucy from Walgett who loves The Flying Doctor podcast, Finn from Tamworth who's a future pilot and aviation expert; and Jess, Ramnik & Lucinda all final year students at Tamworth! It was lovely to meet you! ๐
Still plenty of time to swing by the Isuzu tent, chat all things Flying Doctor and have a look in our simulator, so come on down! ๐

Afterwards you can then create a colour wheel and go on a nature colour hunt!
We were honoured to share the Mannion familyโs story with thousands of Bashers at Mundi Mundi Bash today. Living on the land in remote NSW comes with plenty of highs and lows. Itโs a cycle that can impact the whole family. And when little Imogen started having outbursts and losing her hair after a difficult period of drought, the family were able to turn to RFDS play therapy specialists to help Imogen work through her feelings.
Today, the whole family also joined us on stage to draw the winners of our raffle. Every dollar raised at Mundi Mundi goes towards delivering vital healthcare services to communities and families just like the Mannions. Thank you for your support!
Hold On! Is that Jon Stevens hanging with the RFDS crew at Mundi Mundi Bash? Totally star struck! ๐คฉ
A big thank you to the MDC & AUSRV Owners who just donated $1050 to our team at the Mundi Mundi Bash! This is the second time this amazing group has supported the RFDS at Mundi Mundi. Travelling all the way from Bellbird in the Hunter Region to Far Western NSW - we appreciate you coming all this way and for your tremendous support! ๐คฉโ๏ธ
Itโs a perfect start to the morning at Mundi Mundi Bash and our spirits are high for another amazing outcome for the Nutbush World Record attempt later today!
Whether we keep the current record or make a new one, we are overwhelmed by the huge support Bashers have shown us over the last few days! Thank you! ๐ฅฐ
We're so grateful for the support of everyone at the Mundi Mundi Bash and it was amazing to see 1960 enthusiastic people line up for the Mundi Undi Run this morning.
The event has grown in stature and the costumes have become more elaborate. It didn't make things easy for the Best Dressed judging panel, which included RFDS Regional Services Manager Jackie Hanniver. But they found some deserving winners.
