Vedic Astrology utilizes sidereal or astronomical calculations in which the planet's placements consider the inclination of the Earth’s axis.

Western Astrology considers the Earth’s placement as vertical with the Sun and doesn’t do this inclination of the Earth’s axis adjustment.

Because of this adjustment, the calculations between Western Astrology and Vedic Astrology differ by almost 24º.

So if we have that a zodiac sign is 30º, there are considerable chances that your planet is a different one.
