Preparation is crucial for your non-scalpel vasectomy to ensure the best outcomes and reducing complications:

🚿Prepare the morning of the procedure by washing the sc***um with warm soapy water and then shave the scrotal skin including the sides and underside of the sc***um and thigh to ensure the operative site is hair free (Do not use hair removal cream due to risk of chemical burns). This helps to reduce infection risk.

🧊 Ensure you have ice/pack of peas ready at home – this will need to be applied to the operative area following your vasectomy to help reduce any swelling and pain

💊Ensure you have taken your prescribed Twilight Sedative medication 1.5 hours before your appointment time to ensure maximum effectiveness and have somebody to drive you to and from the clinic (Allow 1 hour total from time of arrival)

🩲 Please bring or wear good supportive underwear which will be required after the procedure to reduce pain and swelling

💉 Ensure you have simple pain relief ready at home including paracetamol and ibuprofen which can be taken for pain relief after the procedure alongside icing if required

🩸Please advice your doctor if you are taking any blood thinning medication or have a bleeding disorder. This will be discussed at your consult prior to booking your procedure.

🍳 Ensure you have had a good breakfast or lunch prior to procedure and taken any regular prescribed medications.
