Last week we were delighted to host the ACT Indigenous Tennis Carnival.
There were 40 secondary school students from across the ACT who enjoyed tennis and off court activities including basket weaving, boomerang throwing, Indigenous artwork and much more.
Selected players will go to the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival in Darwin in August.

16 coaches from across the ACT & Region, including 6 female coaches participated in the Level 1 Coaching Course this week.
The course prepares coaches to develop the skills of junior Tennis players through the delivery of the Hot Shots Tennis program. There is a major focus on planning, delivering and reflecting on coaching sessions and creating positive learning environments for children.
The completion of the course incorporates a Certificate III in Sport Coaching.

Finals locked in! 🔓
For the first time in 16 years, both a male and female ACT player have secured their spot in the Australian Junior Claycourt Championships 👏
First seed Tommy Camus (ACT) will take on second seed Christian Joseph (QLD) in the 12/u Boys Singles Final. Piyushi Bandara (ACT) will take on the top seed Ana Maric (VIC) in the 12/u Girls Singles Final.
Both finals will get underway at 8:30am, Sunday 21 April, with presentations to commence approximately 12:30pm.
Entry is FREE. Come and show your support!

Tennis ACT CEO, Mark La Brooy alongside Tournament Director, Francis Soyer spoke to media this morning at the Australian Junior Claycourt Championships.
A total of 128 U/14 and U/12 players have arrived in the capital, alongside their coaches, parents, officials and event staff from across the country.
La Brooy and Soyer were accompanied by two junior competitors, Valentyna Rosa (NSW) and Karin Hiramatsu (WA) who spoke to the significance of Claycourt Nationals in improving their game and advancing their budding careers.
