The burst water main that was causing low water pressure for residents in Woolgoolga and the Northern Beaches has now been repaired.
Water pressures may continue to fluctuate in the short term, especially during peak times, however over the next couple of days should return to normal service levels.
People may notice their water appearing ‘milky’ or opaque due to air bubbles in the water. This is temporary and the water quality is not impacted.
If your water does appear ‘milky’, please run your taps for a few minutes. The water appearance should return to normal as the air bubbles dissipate.
If your water continues to appear ‘milky’ after 5-10 minutes, please contact the City on 6648 4000 or by email at [email protected].
It’s time to have your say on the future of the Jetty Foreshores.
A poll will be held in conjunction with the local government election on 14 September 2024, asking the community the following question:
The Coffs Harbour Jetty Foreshore will be redeveloped. Do you agree that some of the foreshore land should be used for multi-level private residential development?
Know what answering yes or no means and make your poll vote count.
For information, visit www.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/poll2024.

UPDATE: Work is being finalised to repair this burst water main, which may still be having a minor impact on water pressure for some residents in the area North of Woolgoolga Creek. We will advise when the repairs are completed – this is expected to be next week.
A burst water main may be causing low water pressure for residents in Woolgoolga and the Northern Beaches including:
- Sunset Avenue area (northern Woolgoolga)
- Safety Beach
- Western rural Woolgoolga – Newmans Road, Gresham Drive, Bark Hut Drive, Tramway Drive etc.
- Arrawarra Headland
- Arrawarra
- Corindi Beach
Properties in elevated areas may be particularly impacted.
Our team is working to improve the water pressure in the area, and to repair the water main.
We will provide further updates as the repairs progress.

🌈 Have you ever spotted a Rainbow Bee-eater bird? 🌲🦜
🐝 The Rainbow Bee-eater boasts vibrant colours of green, blue, chestnut, and yellow.
🦋 These birds nest in Coffs Harbour reserves such as Hills Beach, Woolgoolga Lake Road, and Sandy Beach between August and December.
🌺 Rainbow Bee-eaters carefully select a sandy bank as their nesting site, where they dig a lengthy tunnel leading to a nesting chamber. Both parents share the responsibility of incubating the eggs and feeding the young.
🐕 When visiting known nesting areas, please look out for signs showing where the birds are. Please refrain from walking through these areas or allowing dogs to roam freely.
👉City of Coffs Harbour temporarily stops mowing nesting areas in this crucial period, to ensure minimal disturbance to the birds.
