“I’VE NEVER MADE A MISTAKE. “
SAID NO ONE, EVER.
I still thought that if I just try hard enough I could avoid making any “bad” decisions or mistakes. If I just wait long enough, analysed the situation enough or avoided making a decision long enough I could save myself the suffering, guilt and shame that came after making a mistake.
But the hard truth is that this fear of not being perfect and constant efforts to get it all right (all the time! ) were really holding me back, exhausting and keeping me stuck.
I learned that I’m going to make mistakes and that’s ok. I’m going to make not so great decisions at times and that’s also ok. I’ve learned that mistakes actually have the power to teach me valuable lessons and make me into a better person than I was before.
“The greatest mistake a man can ever make is to be afraid of making one.” - Albert Hubbard
So, to all my fellow perfectionists, Stop being so afraid to make a mistake that you don’t live your life fully.
Make mistakes. Learn from them. Move on even better then before.

It is so ok 💝
Sometimes it’s not about pushing, going quicker or harder to get your to do list checked off ..
How you feel every day matters and its essential you learn to allow yourself to pause when you need it .
Go for a walk, rest, listen to music, read, do something that lights you up. Just because, just for you.
Productivity runs through my veins.. but I learned that more often than not, it is so much more productive to slow down and do more of what you want to do so later on you have more energy, focus, clarity and peace to do what you need to do. 💕
Sometimes everything hits you all at once. 🌾
You lose a relationship, change jobs, old friends go and new friends come. It’s up one day and down the next. You have it all together on Monday but by Thursday you don’t have a clue.
At time life feels like one big wave and all we can do is flow, grow and adapt. 🤍
Sometimes you may choose to keep going with your plans while life happens (aka. pushing through) and sometimes you may choose to stop your plans to address this unpredictable thing called life (aka.changing plans/creating space/pausing) 🤍
There is really no right or wrong path here. Both options are ok. Listen to YOU and you’re already half way there 🦋

Be patient 🤍 Healing is not a linear process, there are ups, downs, falls and victories.
Healing takes time. You are going to slip and react and get triggered and make mistakes but then you are also going to learn, understand yourself better and slowly start changing and moving away from any pattern that is no longer serving you.
You can Choose love and compassion over anger and frustration with yourself.
Be gentle with yourself, you are doing your best and that’s enough 💝

Self love or self respect doesn’t magically appear once you lost the weight, got your eating under control or got your fitness level up.
It’s a practice of meeting yourself exactly where you’re at right now and being a bit more kind,supportive and loving towards yourself every time.
You are choosing how to nourish your body so make sure you choose love over carelessness, compassion over punishment and nourishment over restriction.

Nothing worked the way I expected it to work, I was free falling in a foreign country and all I could do is rely on myself.
I was scared, I was uncertain and dealing with more than I ever thought I could handle.
But you know.. There’s something special about being in a place where you don’t know what’s next. It helps you surrender and find a deeper solution.
Some of the answers we need come when we let go and just trust that things are going to work out.

How can you increase the love you have for yourself? 💝
A - Positive self talk. Under no circumstances do you deserve to be put down like that.. you don’t deserve it, especially not from yourself.
B - You can find at least 3 things that you love and inspire you about yourself and the world. Make it a habit to maintain your focus on what lights you up, not what puts you down. (Your thoughts included )
C- take time every single day to breath, slow down and just BE.
P.s Be kind to yourself, you are doing your best.
