Good afternoon,

I understand there are some entrants having trouble finding the links to register for rounds.

This has been a priority and should now be resolved.

Alongside the Facebook events lists, where the registration links and information are currently displayed. Our hidden Valley Website has been updated to reflect this season's events; you'll find them here: https://hiddenvalleydrags.com.au/eventslist

Please note currently, registration links only become live from midnight the current/past round and close midnight before the next round commences.

NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

On top of this, we will ensure that more links are shared separately for each event, as they come.

If you are a HVDRA member, an auto generated email for the next event should be sent to you nominated email address from midnight of the current/last event (along with your discount code).
Auto generated emails for non-members/previous participants are being developed, but we are conscious of over sending (spam).

Good morning everyone,

The following information is regarding the updates and alternative routes into Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex from the 14 April to the 29 April 2024

Access to HVMSC is still open, however through the alternative routes

The Palmerston to Darwin Tiger Brennan inbound lane will remain open and entry to HVMSC will be a “Left Turn” into HVMSC and when leaving a “Left Turn” back onto Tiger Brennan to Darwin or through a Right Hand Turn at Amy Johnston to Stuart Hwy to Palmerston

· 6pm Sunday 14 April to 6am Friday 19 April
​· 6pm Saturday 20 April to 6am Wednesday 24 April

This section of road will reopen during the day under traffic management. A full weekend closure will take place from:
· 6pm Friday 26 April to 6am Monday 29 April.

Traffic management planning has identified that suitable alternative routes are available for all impacted movements via Amy Johnston Avenue, Stuart Highway and Tivendale Road.

The Palmerston to Darwin inbound lanes will remain open at all times.

Berrimah Road north from Tiger Brennan Drive to Marlow Road will remain closed with a slated reopening expected in August 2024. Every effort has been made to limit construction time and disruptions, while ensuring improved safety for road users and construction workers. It has been brought to our attention that the membership discount code for the Test n Tune is not being emailed to you after your complete your membership.
This is a very new systems for us here so please be patient as we work through the first initial teething problems.

Hello everyone.
Our start to the 2024 season has been a slow one, we apologise and thank you for your patience. The committee has been working hard to ensure this year's racing will continue without issues.

There have been some changes in the background that the committee has been working through as a priority, those being a new event registration method and ANDRA’s increase in insurance fees. There will be further communications sent out over the next few days and weeks as everything comes online JUST in time for the Test N Tune Round.

Register Now, has changed to Race Roster, the committee has done its best to transfer all existing member information to this new platform and we ask for everyone to work with us as we transition through into this new system.

The Test and Tune on the 20th of April is still going ahead.
As always, we will need some of our amazing volunteers to help and we welcome any new volunteers to come down also.
We’re having a slower start to the season than anticipated and HVDRA wants to get the most out of the season for racers and spectators, we have decided to make the following changes to the calendar.

Round 1 – “$20k round” (May 24th/25th) will be moved to later in the season to August 16th/17. This will allow more time for local and interstate racers to be race-ready, having competed in a few events prior. The date is also closer to other events Alice Springs Desert Nationals (24th/25th Aug) and Red Centre Nats (30th Aug/1 Sept) which will hopefully encourage a larger field.

*The $20k round will continue to have a “minimum” field per class to run*

As some may be disappointed in that change, we have still decided to reward the competitors who are still going to attend the Round 1 event on the 25th of May.

A smaller WINNER TAKES ALL prize pool will be allocated for all the usual classes:

Street Bike - $500
Street Car - $500
Comp Bike – $1,500
Super Street - $1,500
Super Modified - $1,000
Top Eliminator - $2,000

*minimum 4 per class will be required for this prize money breakdown*

*Remember, you MUST be a HVDRA club member to accrue points and prize money*

Memberships, Test N Tune, and Round 1 will be launched today, along with our Volunteers registration.

We will also reach out to our past volunteers through email and the Facebook Group HVDRA Volunteers Facebook. Please only join if you genuinely want to assist with the race events. Training will be provided, along with food and drinks.

The committee kindly ask for your patience as we navigate what we believe is the best approach to ensure everyone gets the most out of the club and the track for the 2024 season.

Update from NDRC about Matt Abel

A lot of you have been asking about Matt Abel following his heavy crash yesterday in Top Doorslammer Q1. We are pleased to report Matt has been discharged from Westmead Hospital and will be heading home to the NT soon once they have all the gear at the track ready to go.

Matt asked us to share with you: “I want to say thank you the paramedics at the track and the track staff, I was looked after very well there and also at Westmead Hospital. I am a bit sore still but okay, and we will be back next season. Thank you to everyone for the well wishes.”

Please join us in wishing Matt a speedy recovery, we look forward to seeing him back on-track with us again in the future.

Behind the scenes of getting ready for NT Titles 2023 - our last Drag Racing event for 2023.

The old FairPlay/Translux scoreboards have been giving us lots of issues this year with unprecedented lighting strikes prior to our season start. This has resulted in all 8 driver boards failing.
Unfortunately, these are no longer available new.
The great news is that we found a replacement driver manufacturer, and we now have 5 brand new boards.

Meanwhile out on the startline, the track prep team is scrapping, rotating, sledding, and getting ready to bring the damaged surface back to pristine for your safety.
