Hi!👋 It's tax time, donate now to help us help kids like Dhunggala to reach their full potential!
Dhunggala is a student who participated in training camps in Nhulunbuy. His enthusiasm to participate and closely observe demonstrations of techniques to refine his skills in both sprinting and throwing events was heartwarming. He displayed a cheeky, competitive nature amongst his peers and a smile from ear to ear. There was no doubting his love of sport.
Dhunggala is profoundly hearing impaired and competes in the multi-class events. In track events, he is supported by his sister Guruwuy, who through touch, signals the three commands at the start of the race.
Most recently, thanks to a Variety Heart Scholarship he participated at the SSENT Track and Field Championships where he won all five events that he took part in, at a standard that ranks him in the upper percentile for his classification and age, nationally.
In December Dhunggala was the first hearing impaired NT athlete to compete in the All Schools Track and Field Championships. Dhunggala has a bright future which may even include the Olympics! 🥇

Hi!👋 Donate to help us help kids like our little mate Eli to reach their full potential!
Eli, 6, lives with Level 5 Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, (PPP3CA) causing severe refractory epilepsy, he is the only kid in Australia with this condition. He also has global developmental delay and low muscle tone.
Eli needed suction machines which are essential to help him breathe safely. And with that breath, why not swing your way to a little joy?!
With the NDIS refusing both the medical and play equipment, Variety NT provided assistance to help Eli breathe easier and to experience the joy of play from a back yard swing, and what a difference it has made....
"Eli is all smiles on the swing and we can rest a little easier as we can assist him to breathe, thanks for you help Variety NT" - Alison Cook, Eli's mother.
Variety NT can continue to help kids, just like little Eli here, with your help. Jump online and donate today, all donations over $2 to Variety NT are a tax deduction.

NT Clubs Week is in full swing! Visit your local club and support your local community!
We are honoured to announce that His Majesty, King Charles III, has graciously reconfirmed His Patronage of Variety, the Children’s Charity following his accession.
Variety was established in Australia in 1975 with HRH Prince Charles, Prince of Wales as our founding Patron, his first Australian patronage.
As we approach our 50th anniversary in Australia, His Majesty’s continued patronage adds immense significance to our cause.
In Australia, Variety the Children’s Charity has raised more than $700 million since 1975 and positively impacted the lives of more than one million children.
Variety provides essential support to children who are sick, experiencing disadvantaged or living with disability. Over the past decade alone we have granted more than $110 million directly to children, schools, hospitals and community organisations in the form of equipment, grants, programs, scholarships and experiences that have significantly impacted the lives of children in need.
With His Majesty’s distinguished patronage, we aspire to further extend our reach and impact.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported Variety, the Children’s Charity past and present. This continued recognition by His Majesty The King is a testament to your dedication, generosity, and love. To all our supporters, we say a heartfelt 'Thank You'. 💖
