A simple take on the humble eggstand by Hakusan. The dish shaped eggstand makes it easy to stack, and is practical to use as you can put shells and or rest your spoons in its inner grooves. Designed by Masahiro Mori in 1960, production of the egg stand was revived after Hakusan received many requests.

We recently visited our mate Alex (founder of ) at the Ultra Culture Kiosk in Brunswick to learn a bit more about his process in making the beloved fermented hot sauces we stock at Keoma Store.

With a passion for cook books & a creative flair, Alex & his partner Holly started Ultra Culture as a hobby during the 2020 lockdown period. Little did they know they had created one of Melbourne’s most favoured hot sauce brands.

We were fascinated by the fermentation process used to create such fresh & flavoursome sauces. This unique method not only houses many health benefits, but also ensures the most full-flavoured outcome.
