As a glasses wearer, I know how important is to look after my vision. Today is World Sight Day – and I’m taking the pledge to . Around 90% of eye health issues can be avoided or treated if they’re diagnosed early enough, so make sure you get an eye test as soon as you can.
IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING NSW PUBLIC HEALTH ORDER, 3 OCTOBER 2021.
We received guidance on how to respond to the requirements of the new Health Order from the Australian Optometry Association.
From Monday 11 October - Tuesday 30 November 2021 (as far as we know) all of us at Ultimate Eyecare need to ensure that all our customers and carers need to comply with the following:
1. Check in using a QR code or check in with our staff via the Services NSW website
2. Wear a mask
3. Provide proof of vaccination status*
*Please visit nsw.gov.au or servicesaustralia.gov.au for details on how to access and share proof of COVID-19 Vaccination, in advance of your visit.
We will be required to ask about your vaccination status when you book an appointment and we are obliged to physically see proof of it when you arrive.
Please note that we are a primary health care business that has been open during the lockdown. We offer an essential health service and we will still be able to look after our customers who cannot provide proof of their vaccination status.
There are just a few simple rules we have to follow:
If you cannot provide us with a proof of your vaccination status you will not be allowed to aimlessly browse or wait around to pass the time. You do need a reason to come in and the validity of your reason depends on a case-to-case basis. If you phone us on: 02 6554 896 we can help to assess your situation.
Please remember that we are here to give you Ultimate Eyecare and we will do so at all times regardless of your vaccination status. Everyone has their own decision to make and we respect your opinion. Please be considerate of our role to look after some of the most vulnerable people in our community. If you are not vaccinated, and you don’t have a reason to come and visit us, please wait until this Health Order has been lifted.
In this difficult time, we thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep our community safe, and assisting our team at Ultimate Eyecare to adhere to this current health order.
