The Sharks Winter SC Trophy meet at Geelong College is on Sunday 21st July. Get your entries in now. This is because Swim Central does not handle kick events! Encouragement Events are for 10/Under only and swimmers can be registered or unregistered. (ribbons awarded - no points for Enc events) Details below on how to enter 25m events if your swimmer is not registered. If registered enter 25m stroke events via Swim Central but 25M FS Kick and 25M BK Kick manually (see below). All trophy events are for registered swimmers only and this is a proposed qualifying meet. Looking forward to a fun day at the pool!

We encourage everyone to join the Geelong swimming community tomorrow as we come together to swim Laps for Lachie.
The event will raise funds for ReachOut, to make sure that young people can receive the urgent mental health support that they need.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers for a great weekend of swimming and friendship. A massive thank-you to Coaches Gus and Viv, and to all the support team that were involved in time-keeping, nutrition, shenanigans and whatever else the moments called for.
No luck with a late warm-up this morning but it did mean time for more Uno!

A great day in Traralgon starting with a Sunday sleep-in thanks to a late warm-up allocation, team lunch between sessions, and then finishing with bronze for our girls free relay team. (Aaron missing from team photo). Fantastic effort from all of our swimmers again today.

Fantastic first day of 2024 Victorian Country LC Swimming Championships. Friendship, fun, fast swimming, and uno! Congrats to all of our swimmers for pbs, finals, and more pbs.

Shark attack at the Rip View Swim Classic!
We may have finished the year with a traditional swim meet thanks to Colac Swimming Club but we started the new year with something different - an open water swim thanks to Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club.
Congrats to our Sharks swimmers and parents for a great day out and some sensational results, especially considering many were trying their first open water swim event!
All of our swimmers in the top 20 for their age with podium finishes to Matt (1st), Raph (2nd), and Tallulah (1st Open women).
Looking forward to seeing our Sharks have a lot more firsts in 2024!

A great night of fun to celebrate the end of year as our swimmers tried to outwit, outplay, & outlast each other in our survivor challenge. Thanks to everyone that got involved and made it happen and Merry Christmas to the swimming community from the Geelong Sharks ⭐️🎄

The Vic Age LC champs continue with more great swims by the Sharks. Congrats to Charlie, breaking a club record at his first Vic Age LC Meet.

Geelong Sharks City by the Bay meet (featuring Warrnambool swimming club bbq) kicks off with warm up at 8am.
A few reminders…
- Pool doors will not open until 8am so no need to get there early.
- Bbq lunch will be available and the pool kiosk will be open from 8am
- Raffle prizes are looking amazing so don’t forget to purchase your tickets
- There is an AFLW final on next door with gates open at 12.05pm. We expect this will mean lots of vehicles moving through the car park so please park considerately and take care when leaving the pool
- UV index forecast is VERY HIGH, remember to slip, slip, slap.
- Our officials are all volunteers and make these meets possible, please make sure you take the time to say thankyou 😊

Chief clipboard wielders, champion stop watch stoperers, motivational maestros, whip crackers, puter upperers of sleepy swimmers, team members, fun facilitators, support persons, psychologists, nutritionists, lost property keepers…the list goes on. Our coaches do it all.

On National coaches day we recognise our amazing team of coaches for everything they do for our swimmers. THANKYOU Viv, Josh H, Paige, Josh F, and Angus.

A big weekend for the Sharks. We had a decade of Sharks families come together to thank Vivienne Kennedy for her enormous contribution to our club. Now that she has taught us everything that we know about swimming Viv is scaling back her involvement with the club (tribute post to come!) We also had two State Championship debutantes compete at MSAC today with both posting personal best times. Well done to Addison and Bianca. Thanks to all of our Sharks families that got involved over the weekend - it was great to see past and present come together so seamlessly. Massive thanks also to Letitia, a past parent, for providing the amazing cake.

We are excited to introduce our Club Captains for the upcoming season...Alice, Angus, and Hayden. Angus has been an outstanding leader for our club and we are grateful that he will continue on in the club captain role until he heads off on overseas adventures later in the year. Hayden is another great role model for our team and really encourages our younger swimmers to help bring out their best. He also has positive relationships with our coaches, and will no doubt be a great support to them.
Alice brings positive energy and enthusiasm to all of our club events and is developing into a great leader. She will be supporting Angus and Hayden early in the season and will step up to replace Angus later in the year. We are very lucky to have such a formidable team of young leaders!
A massive thank-you to Evie, our outgoing club captain, for all of the work and effort that she has put into the club over her time in the role, and we are very pleased that she will still be a presence around our club.

As a club we are incredibly proud of our members, and on Sunday we took the chance to reflect on the 2022/23 season, and celebrate our successes. Congratulations to everyone involved in our club for making it something really special, and to all of our swimmers for another fantastic season of racing.

Good luck to all BSWSA swimmers competing at the Australian Age Champs, just watch out for Sharks in the water! Issy and Tallulah we can’t wait to see you in action.
