Excellent night for an indoor session.

Galaxy United FC take on the in form juggernaut of Bulleen Lions from the NPLW tomorrow night at Stead Park. By far the biggest test of the season so far will see our girls battle it out against a high quality, very talented opponent. An amazing opportunity awaits for the young squad to play and test themselves against a club from the highest level of woman’s football in Victoria.

A taxing day on the road for the Galaxy Woman. A lot of minutes now under some tired legs and bodies but the girls are still very together and very determined to pull off a good season. Thanks to Eltham Redbacks for hosting us and the fine food after the game at their awesome facility. 3 points for all the mums who missed out on time with their daughters.

Mother’s Day trip to Eltham Redbacks. Another monumental task for the dedicated group of woman. 180mins of passion.

With most of the team again playing two games on the day, the girls climbed a massive mountain to come home victorious at Casey Comets.
A lot of recruiting and wonderful support from across the region, let us for the first time field 5 fresh players for the senior match. Which made a huge difference to our match prep and mentality. We welcome and thank the new girls who joined us, and the two 17’s girls taking valuable minutes from our players legs which played a huge part in our win today.

Galaxy Women: United in saving the pathway.

Galaxy’s senior women’s players have made the very brave decision to play both Senior and Reserve grade fixtures for the entire 2021 VPLW Season.

The senior program has made the courageous decision to save the pathway for the future generations of girls and woman across the region who may, like the current players, want to challenge themselves or have dreams of a life in the sport.

On Saturday the women will begin a very tough journey. A year of physically tough, mentally tough and emotionally tough challenges.
Playing a football match is tough, playing it twice on the same day is even tougher. Playing it twice a day for 18 weeks, at VPLW level is even tougher again. But in order to save the pathway it’s a challenge the women are willing to accept.

It’s a tough road ahead.

Come and support these amazing girls in the first VPLW match. With a large group of these woman having come through the pathway, it’s fantastic to see the journey continue in senior football.

Senior training sessions will move to Howard Glover Reserve, 7pm to 8.30pm on Tuesday and Thursdays until otherwise notified.

Galaxy United FC will travel to Ballarat on Sunday 13th of December to play Ballarat City.
Kick off will be 1pm.

Training will go ahead and kick off tomorrow night at Stead Park in Norlane. 7pm start.

The club is on the search for players 15 yo and older from within the region who want to apply themselves and reach for the stars. The club is pleased to announce the re-signing and promotion to the Senior Roster of defender Ciera Major.
The Ocean Grove teenager played for Surfside Waves SC as a junior, before joining Galaxy in the inaugural season.
Ciera played a number of games in the 1st team in 2019’s NPLW season, and her application and competitive nature have made it an easy decision to promote her to the VPLW roster.

After a long Covid interrupted break, Galaxy United FC are pleased to announce the Preseason start for the 2021 Victorian Premier League Woman’s season.

Galaxy United’s preseason is just around the corner, and preparations are well under way. We would like to offer an opportunity for players with in Geelong and Regional Victoria the opportunity to meet and train for a 6 week period in Geelong. At an advanced and competitive level. The opportunity gives the coaches and players the chance to expirience our football, the length of travel, commitment and if it is for them with no obligation to sign on. Players must be 16 years or older.
