Bring your creativity to life.
It is waiting to be born.
It is waiting to be expressed.
Don't let it die inside you.
The struggle is real.
I realised that I've been suppressing my creativity. I am a multi-passionate creative... and I get frustrated at myself because I can't just focus on one thing. So I don't do anything!
But the thought of not expressing my creativity, and letting my creative dreams die with me, unexpressed, makes me sad. 😭
So...f # it! Express whatever needs to be expressed. Birth whatever needs to be birthed. 🙌✨️
Morning reflection 🤔
Pondering a new insight.
The joys of being sober. 🙄
My love of books 💓
Sitting in a bar last night
I had just finished reading Kate Mosse's book Sepulchre
Inspiration was hitting, and the words were flowing
I was writing away, just letting the words flow through me onto the page
A woman approached and said... "excuse me, how many books have you read this weekend?"
I looked up and replied..."one"
Then she said... "all I've seen you do is read and take notes"
I simply responded..."when the words are flowing...," 🤷♀️
This weekend...
📖 I attended 10 panel discussions at the
📖 I wrote 8 pieces of poetry/prose
📖 I finished reading Sepulchre by
Quite productive I think 🤔 🤷♀️
Anyway...a reminder that you don't owe anyone an explanation. And to quote one of my favourite lines from Cloud Atlas - "You have to do whatever you can't not do."
When you realise that your life has changed...again 🤦♀️
Forever evolving
Forever remembering
Forever returning home to myself
When you realise that life didn't go the way you planned...but they were never your plans anyway...so now you're just drifting along waiting for the next nudge in some sort of direction...hoping that it will lead you to wherever it is you need to go 🤷♀️

My favourite outfit ever
My blue tie-dye Balin t-shirt
My Rusty flannel hoody
Levi jeans that I pinched from my brother...501s I think
Brown boots that I'd lace up in a particular way
A blue crystal on a leather choker...DIY'd of course
The comfiest outfit ever!
Oh to snuggle into that jumper again
Like a big warm hug
It was my go-to outfit from 1995 to 1997
F # I miss that jumper 😭
And this is still my favourite part of Green Day's Welcome to Paradise🤘
"You look worried"
"You look annoyed"
"Are you OK?"
Just a few of the comments I have been copping lately. Apparently I need to permanently have a smile on my dial, otherwise people think I'm pi$$ed off.
Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?
My new Loop Earplugs arrived today!
I've upgraded from Engage to Switch.
I've used my Engage earplugs SO much since I bought them a few months ago, and they have been absolutely amazing!! But...my commute home from work has been quite a struggle of late. I'm looking forward to testing these out tomorrow.
Thanks for the discount code 🙌
Stream of consciousness from the Somatic Writing workshop I attended on the weekend.
Important reminder.
It's time to shine✨️ We need you 🙌
My musings on the statue of Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-1796).
A fork in the road.
Asking myself the big question 😬
I have been reading "Write for Life" by . In the book, she mentions having different writing stations/locations. It was a relief to read that because I tend to move around my house a lot and was thinking I should be focusing on staying in one spot.
Anyway, I had been thinking about getting a comfy chair for reading and writing purposes. But I let the idea slide...because I don't really 'need' it. BUT today when I was sitting in the dining room taking a break, looking out onto the garden, with the warm sun streaming through the windows....I thought that a reading/writing chair would be really nice here.
And then some magic happened. I was finishing up outside in the garden and had a thought to go to the thriftstore to find a chair. So off I went. I managed to get a park right out the front (it's normally difficult to get a park). I tried a winged back chair, but it was not comfortable at all. Then, I spotted a black chair on the other side of the store. It was in pretty good condition and very comfortable. And it swivelled too. And it was an absolute bargain at $25 for the chair AND stool!! It also matches my dining setting perfectly.
So now I have another reading/writing station to enjoy 😁
Today I made my first Coptic bound notebook.
Thank you for the amazing class on 🙏🙌
I have always had a thing for making books. No idea why - perhaps I was a book binder in a past life 🤷♀️.
Clear your energy and cut energetic cords and attachments. Release yourself.

These words came to me in a dream. In the dream, I thought, "I need to write this down." And at that moment, I woke up and got the words onto the page. 1.34am

My new favourite thing. Making tea dyed paper 😬
I just love the process...
✨️ Soaking the paper for several hours or overnight.
✨️ Laying it out to dry
✨️ Pressing to flatten the pages
✨️ Giving it a bit of an iron 🤭
✨️ Pressing it again
So therapeutic.
I had to make a decision about work last weekend. Do I say yes, or do I say no. This line from The Matrix popped into my head. And i just couldn't shake it.
The head and the heart often seem to be in opposition.
I'm practising listening to my heart.
I prefer pen to paper for my writing. So, I thought I'd better create an electronic backup of my notebook.
This could take a while 😬
I might have enough for a book 🙌
