To all my beautiful clients !
Purely Piercing will now be closing rather than relocating. I will not be returning. It is really hard saying goodbye to something I have grown & loved so much over the past 25 years. Unfortunately my focus must remain on my health. It has been hard facing my reality & stressful trying to get well enough to get back to you but I must now set myself free of that stress & concern for things to improve for me. I am not dying so please do not think the worst! I am on a very private journey with my health which I am determined to improve over time.
So now I gracefully bow out leaving you all with so much love & an absolute ton of thanks for the fun, the laughs and the memories that I will always hold dear. I feel totally blessed thanks to so many of you.
Remember what is “truly” important in life as things can change very quickly as we all know.
Kindness is something we are all capable of, it is a choice. Be kind to all animals & be kind to each other. No matter what.……… just be fu***ng kind.

Such a crazy couple of weeks. We are officially out of Little Malop Street on Wednesday after 23 years! I am looking forward to my next special project, relocating Purely Piercing in 2022 & taking some time to care for myself. This is my first Christmas in 25 years that I get to approach at a relaxed pace. I am so looking forward to this summer break. I do want to say a MASSIVE thank you to my incredible ❤️🥰 man for being there to help me make this move. Physically & mentally it has been easier with you by my side. It has been a mammoth task. ❤️Also a huge thanks to 2 of the artists and 🙏 for dropping in and buying stuff ❤️❤️🥰❤️❤️ it is nice to have old school friends with old school decency. Countdown starts now. I won’t lie the covid years have been hell on every level. Not only navigating that but suffering personal losses plus the constant stream of challenging situations & people has brought me to a realisation of what is truely important and what is not. 2022 will see exciting things for me but for that to happen I need to get off this roller coaster and onto a path that is more delicately curved, lined with flowers, nature & wildlife. 🌺🌈 It is very true that we choose our path and my time for a big redirection is here. You must stop to start again. You owe it to yourself to seek peace & happiness. No one will give you that but yourself.
My last day of clients is Saturday 20th November. I will be in the studio until 30th November whistling & singing as I pack up my space that has served me for over a decade, so do pop by to say hey ! ❤️ You will always be able to contact me should you have any questions or need anything. ❤️
It is simply a time to get well, to focus on what I am passionate about & to get back to things that serve me kindly.

Putting this out there now but I do want to also say how exceptional all my clients have been as we have moved through our covid years. This change is across all businesses that deal face to face with the public. Our industry is under the beauty industry. Hopefully this is the last of changes as we all start our new normal. We do ask you continue to fly solo to appointments unless a guardian is required. Thank you everyone for being so supportive & awesome about all of this. X

Today marks 25 years in an industry that has gifted me so many things. The lessons have been invaluable. The past 2 years I have battled on with covid and my own health. I took the opportunity with each lockdown to focus on health & to refocus on what is truly important in life. I have cried a river of tears over the loss of my pets & worried sick about the challenges covid-19 brought. I helplessly watched my friend Chris die of cancer. Chris is the reason I grew into this career . He was my confidante for many years. Life moves fast, one minute we are celebrating birthdays, weddings then all of a sudden we are at funerals celebrating the life of people we have lost. We need to celebrate our lives now. I see all these experiences as lessons and have grown with each of them. In a business you love so much, you tend to forget about yourself and your own life. It consumes you. It really can. I will be taking time off over summer to find a new home for Purely Piercing & to prepare for 2022 that will bring exciting new things. True to my form it will be different, it will be beautiful and it will support all that I am passionate about. To all I have laughed with over this quarter century THANK YOU, to all my clients THANK YOU !

Bam 💥 Please do NOT bring friends to your appointment unless it is a required guardian. Have your photo ID with a current address, wear your mask, check in and use the sanitiser on entry. You know the drill. Please do this to make my day easier. I’m a tad tired of policing all of this 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I have finally rescheduled all clients from lockdown 8. So firstly sorry to anyone who has been trying to book in. The online bookings will now be reactivated FRIDAY OCT 1st for NEXT week. Rescheduling clients is a very fortunate problem and I also had a rather full week on top of that to work in with. I can not squeeze clients in so please be patient as we wrap this week up. You are all equally important to me so sit tight and I hope to see you all soon. X

I wake with anxiety every day waiting for these announcements……… this one comes as no surprise but the emotional wave is just as intense. We return each time with the hope it will not happen again yet here we are. So …….. will we be reopening next week? Hmm unsure so let’s just sit tight. When we do please understand there is a lot of work involved as we contact clients that HAD appointments FIRST. This is an insane time for everyone and bouncing back each time is pretty intense. We are snapped back as fast as we are snapped shut. It is not easy & yes I feel vulnerable knowing it can happen anytime. Until then please be well, remain hopeful & be kind to everyone reopening as we do it with joy but it is stressful.

Every lockdown feels harder than the last. I admit I’m not sure how much longer I can deal with this as the only certainty is the uncertainty. After a wee meltdown when I left today I sat with it understanding each lock down brings on the same & more things to process. Then SNAP we are back. It is a total head f**k! I dig deep every time & I remain here for my clients & team no matter what. Hard times bring a lot to light. How we behave in these times is a reflection of the people we are. Reach out & check in on people around you. Kindness really matters. If there was a time to ask people if they are ok it is now. In all this madness also take a moment to send thoughts & love to the people of Afghanistan 🙏❤️ bet they wish they were here locked down. 🥲 special thanks to those who have already checked in on me today and over the past month X 🥰

Digging deeper than ever before. Today I take a big big breathe ….. not knowing when we will be where we really need be. To say this is a massive cluster f**k for us all is putting it mild. My thoughts are with all in small businesses. My tactic to cope is to pause during moments of the day, close my eyes, breathe deeply to bring a moment of calm even if it is fleeting.
