Conquering the summit of 'Mt Cook', the highest point on Magnetic Island. That was a very tough climb!

Travel drains my battery more than most things. Just being in in car for a few hours leaves me feeling nauseated, exhausted, overstimulated, foggy, achey, and really really irritable. Being in a plane is much worse.

We've done a lot of travelling this weekend.

And my body has kept the score.

I expect tomorrow to be pretty rough for all of us.

Is that me being pessimistic? Or defeatist? Should I perhaps work super hard to push us all through and make tomorrow a super happy and productive day?

No.

It makes more sense to use the knowledge that I have about my own needs (and the needs of my family) to make sure that I've made space for the big emotions and dysregulation that are pretty likely to occur. Tomorrow has to be a down day.

If we don't end up needing that space, it doesn't matter. Better to be prepared I think.
