Empowering Women. Shaping Futures. Achieving Equality. Building a community of game changing women
We are all attached to getting an outcome in our life. That’s part of setting goals and enhancing our personal and professional development?
It’s part of experiencing humanness and life!
But sometimes we get so attached to the result we can forget why we are pursuing it and worse still we create a world of stress, anxiety, overwhelm and depreciating self worth as we get lost in that pursuit.
So let’s break it down between the strategic and the tactical outcomes you’re looking for as they have different drivers.
Start by listing your attachments to the big outcomes:
- Leaving a relationship
- Getting married
- Your personal story (tied up with your limiting beliefs and ability to step fully into who you are)
- Trying for a baby
Are examples of some bigger outcomes at play to the smaller more tactical outcomes:
- that magic number on the scales
- applying for that role
- getting that PB on your sports activity
- delivering on deadline
Take some time to discover what outcomes you are really attached to and then jot down next to them why you think that is.
Let me know one of your attachments below 👇🏼
What a night Saturday at The 2024 Annual Bravehearts Ball.
As a Silver sponsor Limitless Women Lead was so proud to represent us all on the night!
Much fun was had but recognition for why we were there, to raise money and raise awareness of child sexual abuse remained front and centre.
Amazing evening thank you to everyone at Bravehearts

Set your own agenda, or someone else will set it for you.”
Great words of advice given to Melinda French Gates, who is doing just that.
Melinda French Gates has announced $1billion in spending over the next 2 years for people and organisations working on behalf of women and families around the world.
Sometimes we need to fight fire with fire, and what I mean by that is that money talks.
Lobbyists have been backing male leaders in positions of power to serve their own agendas for eons! Add to that the increasing rhetoric of male leaders that are trying to admonish the rights of young girls and women across the world, which seems to be more polarising than ever.
Thankfully the power dynamic is shifting, there are more female billionaires than ever, accounting for just over 13% of the world’s billionaires.
Together they are worth nearly $1.8 trillion (ForbesWomen) and the great thing is they are using their fortune to change things FOR THE BETTER!
Where would you start fixing things for young girls and women?
Letting go of an attachment to an outcome is the focus of this month.
We get so hung up on outcomes, any of these sound familiar?
- The need for control and specific outcomes, such as how family members should act or how situations should unfold, causing tension and conflicts.
- The constant focus on future outcomes preventing you from being present and enjoying the moment. Always thinking ahead, worrying about what’s next.
- Being overly self critical when outcomes don’t match your expectations, blaming yourself for not achieving your goals exactly as planned.
Any of those slap you round the face?

Feeling Overwhelmed by Competing Demands? You're Not Alone.
Balancing a demanding career, family responsibilities, and personal growth can feel like juggling too many balls in the air. As a professional woman striving for excellence in every area of life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and stretched thin.
I’ve been there—facing back-to-back meetings, looming deadlines, and an endless to-do list while trying to be present for my family and find time for myself! I genuinely feel that I sometimes plan, plan, plan and never actually get to see anything through.
But I’ve learned that achieving balance isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about setting priorities, creating boundaries, and giving yourself permission to step back and breathe.
Here are a few strategies that have helped me regain control:
Prioritise Ruthlessly: Identify what truly matters and focus your energy on those tasks. It’s okay to let go of or delegate less critical items.
Set Boundaries: Establish clear boundaries between work and personal time. Communicate these boundaries to colleagues and family members to ensure they’re respected.
Schedule Self-Care: Block out time in your calendar for self-care activities. Whether it’s a workout, a hobby, or quiet time to reflect, make it non-negotiable.
Ask for Help: Don’t hesitate to seek support from your network, whether it’s a mentor, coach, or family member. Sometimes, an outside perspective can provide the clarity you need.
Embrace Imperfection: Understand that it’s okay not to be perfect. Progress and self-compassion are far more important than perfection.
Remember, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.
At Limitless Women Lead, I provide personalised coaching and support to help you balance your competing demands and thrive in every area of your life.
Join a 'Transformation through balance' workshop here and get a taste of how to regain control of your life.

On the cusp of the release of her new book 'Becoming' Michelle Obama lay awake imagining the book landing on shelves in bookstores and libraries, translated into dozens of different languages, scrutinised by critics around the world.
She was about to head out on an international arena tour that would take her to 31 different cities and in front of audiences of up to 20,000 people at a time.
"I stared hard at the bedroom ceiling, feeling the anxiety rise like a tide in my chest, the doubts looping through my head. Have I said too much? Can I pull this off? Will I blow it? What then?
Beneath this lay something deeper, more primal, more fixed, and fully terrorising—the bedrock question upon which all other doubts rest—four words that reliably plague even the most accomplished and powerful people I know, four words that have followed me since I was a young girl on the South Side of Chicago: Am I good enough?"
Now whilst we are not all former First Ladies, we can take similarities from this story.
- Firstly she was embarking on a brand new journey (essentially the next phase of her life) and was fearing the unknown. We have all been there before.
- Secondly, those words that have followed her around since childhood. We all to some degree remember those words from our childhoods that dictate our behaviour and the decisions we make (or don't more to the point).
- Thirdly, this project would expose her, make her vulnerable, everyone would really know who she was, her values and what's important to her. It was a leap of faith in herself. We are all forced to believe in ourselves throughout many events in our lives to instigate the change required.

I'm not a massive fan of Jimmy Carr. Despite that, he is one of the most articulate, witty and self assured individuals I have listened to on the The Diary Of A CEO podcast.
Too many takeaways to note, but one of my favourites...
"You should feel imposter syndrome every 18 months"
How interesting.
What do you think?
I'd highly recommend a listen on your way to or from work this week.

Woo! Happy Monday ladies!
What are you shedding?
I'm shedding worries about not advancing quick enough, in certain areas of my life. I'm impatient, so when it comes to business and career growth and my health and wellbeing I expect to see results sooner than is realistic.
What are you adding?
I'm adding more structure into my morning routine as I know if I don't start my day right I'm screwed!
You can always count on James Clear to get you back on track.
We all know when we are given equal opportunity to education, income and leadership positions, we all thrive!
So in this article I thought I would shine some light on the SDG Goals, particularly Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development goals, which is Gender Equality.
What it is, why it's so important and how (created by UN Women) is just the spotlight required every year to draw our attention back to it.
I know when I first started on this road to empowering women to step into positions of power and lead, I wanted it to be about more than just individual gain and supporting from afar.
I want our actions to instigate change and to have a reason why we need to collectively work together to make it happen.
Because ladies, where we are right now 'it ain't good!' but we can rectify that.
Hopefully you'll see how if you read on...

It was an honour to be the first speaker at their first and wax lyrical about Investing in women and accelerating their progress.
Economic empowerment is key to a gender equal world we all know that when we are given equal opportunity to education, income and leadership positions, we all thrive!
So I'm really pleased to share some feedback from the event and congratulate myself on a job well done, because we should all encourage each other to celebrate our small wins!

To all my Aussie female friends if you haven't yet, please take the to support reducing period poverty for women and girls in Australia.
Rochelle Courtenay from Share the Dignity garnered over 125k responses, the world's most extensive collection of data on menstruation. Now we need to get that to 200k to further advocate for change.
If you need an extra nudge, read the stats below...
- Research indicates that PMS affects up to 80 percent of women, underscoring the significant impact of period-related issues on Australia's workforce.
- Nearly half (46%) of respondents admitted to skipping school for a full day due to their period.
- Our findings reveal that individuals who menstruate often disengage from regular sports activities and team participation at a higher rate than their male counterparts.
- Disregarding menstruation incurs a staggering $9 billion impact on the Australian economy annually.

After spending the last couple of days figuring out what the next 90 look like I thought this might help you formulate some of your thinking if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by it all.
Here are some of the things I need to stop, start and continue based on my Q1 reflections…
STOP: In Q2, I’m putting a halt to the mental gymnastics - and by that I mean overthinking.
I have a habit of starting things then putting them to one side whilst I ‘think about it’. Or, I delay actioning something because I need to do that first, or that has to be right (AKA perfect) before I can do that over there! It’s exhausting! So here’s to stopping that malarky!!!
START: As we step into Q2, I’m embracing the importance of long-term vision with a renewed commitment to creating my 5-year plan.
It’s time to map out where I want to be mentally, physically, financially, in relationships, and in my career or business. Living in the present is wonderful, but it’s equally crucial to have a clear understanding of where I’m headed. After all, what’s the point of all our efforts if we’re not steering towards something meaningful?
This is my future we’re talking about, and I owe it to myself to plan accordingly.
CONTINUE: Reflecting on Q1, one thing stands out is the power of consistency. It’s not just about starting strong; it’s about staying the course. In Q2, I’m committed to maintaining the momentum I’ve built.
That means sticking to my schedules, following through on my commitments, and staying focused on my goals. It’s so easy to get distracted or derailed, but the words ‘discipline’ and ‘consistency’ keep popping into my subconscious to get me back on track.
Let me know if this helps by double tapping or dropping a comment below 👇🏼
If you fast forwarded to June 1st do you still want to be where you were yesterday?
I’m guessing not.
Here’s something that really helped me. Reflecting on the last 3 months, checking my wheel of life and seeing where I’m at against what I prioritised at the beginning of the year.
For example, I prioritised my creative segment on my wheel of life (I want to get from 3 to 7 this year) and as I look back I have started to build on that, dance classes, piano lessons, getting creative on what I put out into the world with my business etc.
I also began the year, as I do every year with a word I want to represent me, a word that defines my year… that for me was the word LOUD. As I reflect I can see that I am living up to that word and need to continue to build on that over the next 90 days.
So what are you building? What measurements do you have in place to benchmark against, not just in your business or career but your life!
What are you stopping, starting and continuing for the next 90 days? Share one thing below 👇🏼
As always if you need help to clarify your thoughts and transform your life and career drop me a DM and let’s talk!
God I love Olivia Coleman!
Addressing the gender pay gap today, granted in Hollywood, but same same!
Her response was in relation to the reason used to not pay women as much as their male counterparts, because male actors draw in the audiences.”
Colman said. “And actually, that hasn’t been true for decades, but they still like to use that as a reason to not pay women as much as their male counterparts.”
“I’m very aware that if I was Oliver Colman, I’d be earning a f**k of a lot more than I am,” “The Crown” star said in response.
Change however, I feel will be quicker in these industries than the current global change required to achieve gender equality and empower women and all girls by 2030. Which we are over 80% off track to achieve!
The fight and foul language continues...
Getting ready to chat all things as keynote speaker for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust for their first ever IWD conference!
I always find the technology of doing these things more anxiety inducing than actually speaking!

- Financial empowerment
➡️Check your supers ladies, find out where your money is being invested
➡️ Income Protection and trauma cover really important, do you have it?
➡️ Women are really good negotiators we are just socialised not to be, put on your ‘negotiating for a client hat’ and ask for that pay rise
Stay vigilant and non judgmental, there are a plethora of girls and women living in there cars or on the street.
People you wouldn’t expect like a nurse working at a Gold Coast Hospital who’s rent increased from $300 to $800 a week, which forced her out of her rental into her car! WTH?!
It’s International Women’s Day! Whoop whoop!
Looking forward to the UN Women Australia conference later today on Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress.
Economic empowerment is key for women to access equal opportunities.
The world is a better place when half the population are included in decisions have access to education, jobs and leadership positions!
Now let’s get to it!
is days away and I’ve seen and heard comments about whether we still need it, if it’s a token gesture and is it doing more harm than good?
In all honesty I’m conflicted. I absolutely think we need to push the agenda for equal opportunity there is no doubt about that. However, can UN Women approach it differently?
Can we help people understand how it’s linked to the bigger picture. It’s not just a day, it’s a bloody lifelong journey, one that I hope plays out positively in my lifetime.
In the meantime here’s a quick snippet of why it’s so important to keep on fighting unapologetically.
What a way to start the week!
Self belief is built on the stories we tell ourselves.
What stories are you already telling yourself about the week ahead, next month, this year, that are holding you back?
Try a bit of Estee Lauder on for the week and change your responses to situations that are shaping your world in a negative way.
It starts with little things.
Like this post if you totally get this 👍🏼

is coming. Let's be clear, there is only one organisation that sets the theme for IWD and that's UN Women.
This years official theme is Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.
I get so infuriated with the 'other' website owned by Aurora Ventures that seek to dilute the IWD message through vague calls to action and corporate tickboxes that 'show' they are making a difference.
But isn't all publicity for IWD good publicity Andrea?
All Marketers out there know that when creating campaigns there are key messages and specific outcomes you want to achieve. Which is why it is essential that you have a defined clear, consistent, campaign communication that lands across multiple platforms.
So you gotta ask why would you want to dilute that? What's the purpose of distracting from the official theme?
So please I beg of you, check your theme for IWD don't get duped and don't support an organisation that is as sketchy as an Etch A Sketch!
If you want to buy tickets go here:

If you want to read more about the corporatisation of IWD there are some great articles out there but these ones below nail it for me:

Wow sometimes I cannot fathom how decisions are made, only to come to the logical (based on history) conclusion that there were no women (or they felt unable to speak up/overruled) represented in the decision-making process when this concept was presented, let alone signed off!
This is online advertising from H&M for back to school. The message ‘make those heads turn’… Are you fu***ng kidding me H&M?!
It’s bad enough that when girls hit teenage years that they have to put up with the pressures of online p**n, social media and the need to ‘fit in’! But kids?!
Christ, this is exactly why we need more women in positions of power, influence and decision making, so we can protect young children from objectification and the projection of images that do nothing but pander to a male fantasy!
This is a response to an original post by over on which I would highly recommend you read, it’s so well articulated as opposed to my rant (which I’m not sorry about).

Should I stay or should I go?
This is a question I have asked myself time and time again throughout my life. It’s a question I should have asked myself, a question most of the time I knew the answer to, a question I ignored and thankfully, a question I also answered.
Leaving certain scenarios in life can be many things; heart breaking, frightening, exhilarating, exhausting, a relief, in some cases life threatening and well, just really fu***ng hard sometimes.
Simon Sinek says that if you work with ‘who you are’ not ‘what you do’ then you will always be that.
We are individuals and along the way we connect with each other, whether for a reason, a season or lifetime, throughout all of it, you are still you. But sometimes you’re not sure, sometimes you don’t know who you are anymore, how you got here and how you get that person back.
