Jason Pickett is a Professional Dance Educator, Choreographer, Adjudicator and International Artist, Jason strives to help dancers grow to the next level of their artistic journey. With over a decade of performance, choreography and teaching experience, the Utah native has performed live on shows like America’s Got Talent, collaborated with global brands Hermès, Icon Fitness, Toys-R-Us, Crocs, Bud Light and more, and been featured in viral YouTube videos Stormtrooper Twerk and High School Dance Battle – Geeks vs. Cool Kids! (4k), just to name a few. In addition, Pickett has toured internationally throughout Germany and Israel with Odyssey Dance Theatre as company artist. Jason Pickett is the creator and host of No Starving Artists - a dance media company that provides mentoring, coaching & peak performance strategy to dancers, parents & teachers.

Hannah is our NEW Adult Tap Teacher
Adult tap is on every Friday from 10am-11am.

Hannah has been on stage since the age of 4, she has grown a love, joy and passion for performing and creating. She has trained on the Gold Coast in a variety of dance genres and has now kickstarted her career in teaching, specialising in tap. For the past couple of years she has enjoyed nothing more than helping people advance as dancers and seeing them achieve and accomplish their goals. Her love for teaching has grown immensely and she looks forward to sharing her knowledge with performers.

We are extremely lucky to have these incredible mentors to learn from at Ikin Dance.

Welcoming our NEW Adult Beginner Heels Teacher👠

Tayla grew up dancing in Rockhampton, under the supervision of Dianne Talbot & Debbie Landel. She’s completed her full time training in Melbourne at the Ministry of Dance and continued on to perform on TV shows such as Australia’s Got Talent and Dancing With starts Stars.
Tayla has a wealth of knowledge in the dance industry, both teaching and performing and is super excited to be joining the Ikin team as the Beginner Heels teacher.

Whether you’re new to dancing, returning after a break, or looking to level up your skills, I’m here to guide and inspire you every step of the way. Let’s dance, grow, and shine together!

⭐️MEET MR. SID ⭐️

Mr. Sid teaches a range of Hip Hop classes at Ikin from the Elite Hip Hop competition class, Boys Hip Hop, Beginner Adult Hip Hop & the Open Hip Hop classes.
He also teaches the Drama class on Thursdays.

Sid is our Chief Inspiration Officer. He’s the Studio Director, Lead Visionary and Guru of Groove.

He is one of Australia’s most versatile entertainment professionals - an actor, MC, DJ, dancer and choreographer - with numerous appearances on both stage and screen around the world.

His wealth of experience includes dancing alongside Guy Sebastian to open for Taylor Swift, movement consulting on Hollywood blockbuster Thor: Ragnarok, playing to 90,000+ crowds as the resident DJ for the Gold Coast’s largest NYE beach parties and being invited to Buckingham Palace to open for the Queen!

Aside from being a skilled dancer and an eloquent speaker, Sid is an enthusiastic drama teacher, a talented actor, an astute lawyer and a passionate mindset coach.

With an infectious love for life, Sid hopes to inspire the students at Ikin Dance to follow their dreams, leading by example.

Lily started dancing from the age of 3 and pursed her professional training at Dance Force on the Gold Coast Australia.
At the age of 18 Lily got her first contract as a dancer/aerialist with Celebrity Cruise Lines where she completed 3 contracts. Lily then performed in Paris at La Nouvelle Eve in 2019 as a featured dancer/aerialist before starting her journey with Royal Caribbean cruise lines were she has just completed her 4th contract  as a dancer and aerialist.
Lily has been teaching from a young age and loves working with all age groups and styles solos and groups.
Lily has recently completed her cert IV in nutrition health and wellness/ sports nutritionist as well as a certified mat Pilates instructor.

Ms. Erin teaches Hip Hop, Pre-intermediate Jazz & Pre-intermediate Lyrical.

Erin grew up in Sydney where she trained at Glenda Yee School of Dance (GY Dance) from the age of two. She received incredible training under many teachers who are now incredibly successful in the industry today. This studio was also a place that paved her path as a teacher. After completing her Certificate III in Assistant Dance Teaching, she assisted a variety of studio teachers for students aged four to eighteen that contributed to her growth and confidence as a teacher. Her opportunities grew as she was given opportunities to assist guest/professional teachers and conducted her own classes and choreographed routines for recreational and troupe students both in person and online. After graduating, she relocated to Gold Coast to train full time at Dance Force where she took part in the 2022 Dance Force tour and completed her Certificate IV in Dance. Now, Erin is continuing to establish herself in the Gold Coast with the help from her agent by maintaining her training through dance classes, professional experiences, as well as teaching and choreography opportunities. Through her professional training, Erin has become a versatile performer and choreographer with extensive knowledge and skills that she loves to share with the younger generation to make a positive impact on their journey.

Michelle is a seasoned dancer, embarking on her dance journey at the tender age of 4. Having successfully completed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus and acquiring certificates in dance and teaching, she has become a versatile performer, competing and showcasing her talents in various dance styles and cheerleading events across Australia, New Zealand, and America.
Michelle’s passion for dance extends beyond the stage, as she delved into teaching at the young age of 15. Now, a decade later, she continues to inspire and impart her knowledge to aspiring dancers.
Her impressive resume includes captivating performances in character shows such as Trolls, Ninja Turtles, Care Bears, and many more. Michelle’s artistry has also graced the entertainment landscape at Dreamworld, where she contributed as a dancer and character performer.
