Have fun 🤩 with it - at the end of the day this stuff is about keeping you fit, healthy and living a better quality of life… don’t put too much on yourself to always “turn up” we want it to be a good time like our boys and are having here and a long time 🤝🏻

We roll out the red carpet for the First Lady of VP 💁🏼‍♀️

“Geords” brings a wealth of experience to the fold, a gun Cross-fitter, Olympic Lifter 🏋️ Sailor ⛵️ (represented Australia) 🇦🇺 she mentioned she also participated in a week trial at a boxing gym 🥊 🤣

More importantly Geords is a Champion of person ☺️ she has seamlessly fitted in with the VP fabric, she is a great communicator to our members and has added some real depth to our coaching and knowledge 🙌🏻

We look forward to the future with the First Lady 👸🏼

You can have the best programming, best facility, brightest lights ( we do 🙋🏼‍♂️) but if you don’t have a genuine care for the person that walks through the door, then none of that matters 👎🏻

Find a gym where the trainers aren’t just going through the motions for a pay cheque. Make sure you’re getting the care and service you deserve 🙌🏻

The first block of our upcoming cycle will see a focus on addressing some weak points we noticed 👀 throughout the back end of our last cycle

We always afford some flexibility in how we program with our first block to keep things interesting 🙌🏻 expect some variations of our key lifts, the return of some old favourites, (ahem…Bulgarians 🫣 ) and some mobility work to keep the rig in tip top shape

Motivation gets you started, discipline keeps you going 🫡

It’s this time of the year that the snooze button gets more love than we would like to admit… it’s easy to blame the cold weather and dark mornings 🤫

However, think about where you want to be in 6 months time… do you still want to be running on the hamster wheel? Or do you want to be in position where you’re smashing targets and goals inside and outside of the gym? 👊🏻

Establishing a consistent routine this time of the year will significantly impact where you’re gonna be in 6 months. Be on the right side of that decision 🫵🏻

Be consistently good, not occasionally great!

We can’t exclamation mark this enough ‼️‼️‼️

We hate to break it to you, but there aint no special pill💊 or magic shake 🥤 🙅🏼‍♂️

But there is a special word… consistency 😉

From a physical point of view, being consistently good allows the body to respond and adapt over time, it allows for gradual improvements in strength and overall fitness. Not to mention, its a hell of a lot easier to track your numbers and progress along the way ✍🏻📈

But importantly, being consistently good not only impacts our physical health, but also our mental well being. We all know that regular exercise is one of the best ways to release the bodies natural mood lifters, those things called endorphins. But the discipline and resilience you can develop from a consistent routine along the way will help you overcome challenges inside and outside the gym 🫡

So in short, being consistently good and not occasionally great will not only contribute to better results inside of the gym, more importantly, it will contribute to a happier, healthier more balanced lifestyle outside of it 👌🏼

What makes group training highly effective ? 🏋️

Group training facilities seem to popping up on every corner of the block, for god reason. Here are some of the benefits worth considering ⬇️

1. Motivation & Accountabability
Group facilities are the place to be at 5/6am during the week. In the trenches at sparrow fart working hard creates a sense of commitment and motivation that keeps you on your toes 🫡

2. Social Connection
The chance to connect with like minded people, making workouts more fun and enjoyable. It’s no secret new BFFs are found on the gym floor 👯

3. Structured Programming/Workouts
Quality facilities provide periodised programming. There should be a goal in mind and a planned approach to get there. Workouts should be structured and planned so the session runs smoothly and that in turn makes your workout more enjoyable and effective. There should be regressions and progressions for those that need them ✅

4. Healthy Competition
Group dynamics create healthy competition. People will push harder in a group environment then they will push by themselves. As a result, more progress can be made in a shorter time 🙌🏼

When two became three 👨‍👨‍👦

The boys at VP have given birth to their first love child, now former pin up boy, current fireman 👨‍🚒 and every chance of being VPs favourite son 🥳

Nothing brings us more joy than being able to bring Cammy to the fold. One of the hardest workers and smoothest movers in the gym 🙌🏻 our conversations at the coffee table led us to this point. He always had a curiosity about our programming and the way we go about things here, always asked the right questions and was nerved hesitated when it came to members needing a spot 👏🏼 We knew we had to make a move.

We know what the Greatman will bring to the table and I’m sure our members do too. Let’s get around him and look after him in his first few days and then we can rip into him like you do with us two 🤣

We are stoked to have you on board mate and look forward to getting stuck in with you 🤝🏼

We understand the current climate that financially not everyone will be in a position to donate, but the VP boys are committed having made sacrifices themselves and are eating two minute noodles for the rest of the year 😜

We asking people to donate what they can where they can, even small contributions can make a meaningful impact 🙌🏻

Presents will be donated to Variety children’s charity who will also take financial donations to purchase presents for kids in need. We will have a lock box set up for this 🫶🏻

When steeping foot into VP, you need to enjoy the whole experience otherwise theres no point coming back, we certainly wouldn’t expect you too 🙅🏼‍♂️

A great facility is no good unless there’s results that come along with it, thats our primary focus 🤝🏼

But even results can lose their appeal without a bit of banter and fortunately, we are BIG on that 😜

We are at the pointy end of this block, testings around the corner, numbers are looking good, things are moving better and there’s even a bit of swagger floating around the place 😜 the consistency of following a structured program starts to become evident at this point of the training cycle 💪🏼

This week our % work on the big lifts increases again upto 85-90%. Rep ranges are low so everything we do this week is all about quality 👌🏼

Week by week the intensity has been dialled up and the members haven’t blinked an eye 😎 👏🏼

Looking forward to another cracker of a week down at the pit 🤜🏼🤛🏼
