Why are we "low waste"?
This is why.
It costs us a lot of extra time and money to commit to this ethos.
Being the last to pack up at a market or festival and still doing dishes while everyone else has already left sometimes has me disheartened. Spending extra hours sourcing local produce and all the extra work that goes along with it.
So many people told me that I could not do it, and that it was a stupid business idea.
But then I watch something like this and am reminded of why we do what we do. Why creating as little waste as possible is a non negotiable.
Zero waste is not possible but we are always striving to lesson our impact in every way, with our long term goal to be carbon neutral.
To all of you that support us and help make this possible, thank you so much!!
I highly recommend giving this a watch.

Alrighty the $50 voucher goes to Jodie Irvine and the $20 voucher to Angie Kent!
I'm so obsessed with 'pay it forward' videos online.
I wish I could give a voucher to every mum* in town.
Unfortunately that's probably not the smartest business move.
However I can give away one voucher for sure!
Like our page and tag a mum* that could use a lunch out [value of $50].
Winner will be drawn on Friday 26th.
*EDIT:
Upon reflection of this post I would like to extend the invitation to non binary/gender diverse parents who are also equally important!!
My beautiful friend wanted to 'pay it forward' also and is donating a $20 voucher as well!
Comment on the original post to go in the running ☺

When I was trying to choose a name for the business, I wanted it to be a Turkish word.
Not only because it is a beautiful language but also in hopes of bridging a gap, however small.
There is so much racism in this country, including that towards people from the middle east.
Racism is dangerous.
It breeds wars and hate and divide.
With this in mind we are continuing to raise money for Act for Peace towards their Gaza appeal.
Come and find us today at the Kingborough Community Hub 4:30-7:30, celebrating Harmony Week
