The Brunswick Hotel was more than a great pub. Its walls and hallways witnessed the birth and growth Thank you for all the support that you have sent our way.
Due to a devastating fire in the early hours of the 12th of July 2021, the Bruns is temporarily closed while we work to rebuild. We are greatful that all guests and staff onsite evacuated safely and are uninjured. Originally built by convicts over 185 years ago, we’re Australia’s 2nd Oldest Pub – Est.1826

The Hospitality 2030 visionary document has now been distributed to every business across the state.
Commissioned by the Tasmanian Hospitality Association in conjunction with the State Government following extensive consultation with industry stakeholders and consumers, this document was developed to identify and address the issues facing the sector to safeguard its future.
“If we want hospitality to remain as one of Tasmania’s biggest employing industries by 2030 and keep its renowned reputation on the national and global stage, it is vital we begin addressing the key priorities now". Chief Executive Steve Old said.
