Our WPL girls faced off against Essendon in a hard-fought elimination final today. Despite their incredible effort and determination, they narrowly fell 2-0, bringing their 2024 season to a close.

The club couldn’t be prouder of your performance this year ladies, and we’re excited to see what you’ll achieve in the 2025 season. Keep the fire burning! 🔥

Get ready, Panthers! Starting this Monday, we kick off with our Open SE @ HOME at 7:30pm, followed by the Men’s 45+ at Camberwell at 8:30pm.

Then, on Wednesday, don’t miss the Men’s 50+ and Women’s 35+, both at Southern from 7:45pm.

Our talented young goalkeeper, Elvis Phillips, and Coach Tim Holland have just returned home from representing Victoria in the U12 School Sports Australia Tournament held in Cairns.

Although they missed out on the medal matches, Elvis and Tim achieved an impressive 5th place finish in the tournament with only 1 win and 1 draw.

Elvis is thrilled to have been part of the Victorian team, where he showcased his skills with incredible saves throughout the whole competition. His outstanding performance also earned him the Best and Fairest Award for the Victorian team.

As the Olympics in Paris has officially come to a close, we want to extend heartfelt congratulations to two former Panthers and one life member Panther for their outstanding achievements on the world stage. Our very own Josh Burt represented us proudly as a Technical Delegate for the hockey at the games, marking his third Olympic appearance in this prestigious role. We also had the honour of seeing two former Panthers wear the green and gold for South Africa in Paris. A huge congratulations to Dan Bell (2019) and Matt Guise Brown (2018) for their remarkable achievement in competing at yet another Olympics. Although the South African team didn’t advance past the pool stages, we remain incredibly proud of their efforts and dedication. Once a Panther, always a Panther—it’s truly inspiring to witness such talent emerging from our club.

The U15s SSA tournament concluded with an intense bronze medal match, where Jack Forbes and his Victorian team triumphed over Western Australia. With just two minutes remaining, they secured a thrilling 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, Charlotte Maddison and her Victorian girls’ team had an awesome 4-1 win against South Australia, claiming 5th place easily. Congratulations to both teams!

We now eagerly anticipate the U12s SSA tournament approaching soon, with Elvis Phillips as the boys goalkeeper, Tim Holland as the boys’ team coach, and Ned Weatherburn-Gregg as an boys emergency player. We have plenty of junior talent coming from our club.
