Early Intervention Orthodontics

While there is no exact age for children to begin Orthodontic treatment, we recommend children visit a Dental Professional around the age of 7. 

By this age, most children have already lost a few baby teeth and this allows your Dentist to begin to start to look at and diagnose any teeth or jaw irregularities.

Things to look out for include:

• Mouth-breathing
• Thumb (or finger) sucking
• Early or late loss of baby teeth
• A hard time chewing or biting food
• Crowded or misplaced teeth
• Teeth that do not line up together

Early orthodontic treatment can provide many benefits, including:

• Guide and correct jaw growth to help the permanent teeth come in straight
• Properly align and space adult teeth to reduce crowding
• Regulate the width of the upper and lower arches
