Emerge Productions
Emerge Productions provides drama lessons for new and emerging performers in Launceston.
It's Friday, and we're feeling a little silly. We hope you are, too!
This performer tripped over a prop and fell during their show. The good news is that they were okay—but the bad news is that they were on stage.
So remember: check your props first!
Break a leg: the term used when actors and performers wish each other luck before going on stage.
In the past, it was believed that wishing someone luck would bring them bad luck. So instead of saying "good luck," people would say "break a leg" to try to avoid jinxing their friends or family.

Happy Friday - may you have a wonderful weekend
When actors say "chookas" instead of "good luck," they're not just being cute.
The term "chookas" comes from the Yiddish word for luck, which is "chayim." So if you hear an actor say "chookas," they are saying, "I wish you life!"

It's Friday afternoon - How are you feeling comment 1, 2 or 3
You are loved for being just who are, just for existing.
You don't have to change a thing about yourself. You can be the most imperfect person in the world, and someone will love you for it.
We all have different strengths, different weaknesses, and different things that make us stand out from others. We're all unique in our own ways. And that is why we deserve love from each other.
So today, I want you to remember: no matter what kind of day you're having or how many mistakes you've made—you are loved just as much as anyone else in this world.
It's Friday which means it's time for a laugh - share your best joke in the comments

Killers with Benefits - Meet the Cast - Edward Coleman
Edward Coleman started performing at the age of 11 in Year 6; since then it has been a lifelong passion for him. After learning several mediums over the years at school, including acting through theatre, film and voice over work, in 2017 he played Ernie in Rumours by Neil Simon and in the following year, in 2018, starred as Frank in Early Days Under the Old Hat by Pam Leversha, both being performed at St Michael’s Collegiate School and directed by Liz Harper.
Edward also joined Cooper Screen Academy, studying screen acting in addition to behind the scene roles. He also learnt how to play guitar around the same time he started acting; in addition, he has learnt how to edit using programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Sony Vegas. Recently, he studied at Federation University, pursuing more of the performing arts in areas such as singing and dance.
At Federation University Edward has played several roles in university productions, including Snout the Tinker from A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare – directed by Ross Hall; Man, Doctor, and Bellringer in Vinegar Tom by Caryl Churchill – directed by Kirsten von Bibra; and ensemble within Exquisite Co**se part 2: Neon District, directed by Laura Burzacott.
Edward has the drive to share with others the wonders of story and entertainment, performing in all mediums and delivering to the audience what he felt when he was first introduced to the arts.
