The trials will be followed by the 2024 Awards Evening commencing at 7pm, hosted by the Tasmanian Indoor Cricket Association.

AUSTRALIAN INDOOR REPS

A huge well done to both our Tas boys Armartya Shenoy and Levi Springer for their Australian recognition. What an achievement lads.

Have a look at all our ICN players representing Tasmania at indoor cricket. An experience of a life time and we all cannot wait till we head to Western Australia next year to compete again for this great state of Tasmania

Check out these 2 legends and what they have achieved. This game opens so many doors with cricket. Well done especially to ICN superstar Levi Springer. We are very proud of you mate.

A huge congratulations to Amartya Shenoy and Levi Springer, selected in the 2024 U14 boys and U16 boys Australian Allstars teams, respectively. Levi was also runner up U16 boys player of the tournament. Go Tassie Tigers!

These individual achievements capped off an amazing two weeks for our Tasmanian teams at the 2024 ICNC. Stay tuned for a full wrap up once teams are home and rested.

Next year's ICNC will be in WA, at Bouncer Indoor Sports Centre, Joondalup (Perth) from 28 June - 12 July 2025. Put it in your diaries!

A massive tournament for the growth of our Tasmanian teams and the game in Tas. Well done to all players and especially our ICN reps in all age groups. It’s a big week and it puts you to the test but that is the pride, passion and expectations for playing for your state. We had many wins , many great performances and many many loud cheer squads for this great state for indoor cricket.

What a tournament with Tas men notching up their first win against The Vics since our reemergence 3 years ago. Our Women improved every game as the resultant margins were lessened every game until our final game only going down by 40 runs. Well done to all players and a big well done to all ICN players involved at nationals.

FINALS WRAP

After a busy week at the National Indoor Cricket Championships finally here are the Indoor Cricket North Grand Final results.

What a week of finals it was with all teams in all divisions making a good fist of their battles.
A grade went down to the last ball. B grade became a thriller in the last over
A grade Women was a true GF and very competitive
C grade /Social Mixed went down to the last ball.

A GRADE GRAND FINAL

The CRICKET CONVICTS took out their 3rd straight shield in a fantastic display from both teams of quality indoor cricket fielding.
Stick Cricket who came up a level after winning last years B Grade shield took it to the last ball as a wicket would have clinched it for them.

B GRADE GRAND FINAL
After several years of having a red hot crack and a whole lot of fun SWAMP PEOPLE finally won their first Shield in B grade in a terrific game of indoor cricket against DLM Machinery Ringins. Another team who have more fun than most. In the last over DLM needed 9 off the last 2 balls to steal the match but the Swampies struck twice on 2 balls taking out the GF by 12 runs.

A Grade Women Grand Final

After a great start of 40 runs in their opening partnership things we’re looking great for Hot Stuff against the Durhamettes but they were pulled back in to be 64 off 12 overs as the Durhamettes started to put it together.
Chasing 49 the Durhamettes never had it easy as with 2 partnerships getting them to 29 off 8 overs. The Durhamettes finished stronger though and ran out winners by 73 runs in a game that was contested to the very end.

C GRADE SOCIAL/MIXED GF

In a roster where everyone could beat anyone the final was played by 2 new teams in the comp and it was a cracker. 71/2 MEN batted first and posted 112 which was just enough if they bowled well with the super over potentially being their biggest threat from the terminators batters.
In the most extraordinary instances the TERMINATORS needed 6 to win off the last ball and 5 to tie. A quick single turned into a 2 which turned into a 3 which with the ball still being thrown around in panic turned into a 4 and then with 1 to tie a run out by inches saw 71/2 men win their first shield in a finish not for the faint hearted by 2 runs which in face becomes 11 runs as the rule takes away all runs scored and comes off the original score before the ball was bowled which was 106 minus 5 for the run out. So 101. What a game.
