Holiday mode semi-activated! ✈️

I’m taking a short break from Holly & Hamish as I am going on holiday. My Etsy store is now closed and will be reopening on the 26th of August. New orders and enquiries still welcome but these will be dispatched upon my return in late August-early September. Please note there may be a slight delay in response as I may not have the best phone service whilst on holiday.

When I started this little business, I knew straight away that I wanted to create a premium service for my clients, but just as importantly I wanted to do this as sustainably as possible.

Now I'll be the first to admit, I am a business making and selling largely plastic (acrylic & vinyl) products so you might see this as a bit hypocritical and I wouldn't blame you. But my aim with each and every piece I make is for them to be treasured for years to come and re-used, which is one of the reasons why I focus so heavily on making exceptional quality pieces.

So whilst I am limited in what I can do in regards to the products I create, I make every single effort to ensure all of my other business practices are as sustainable and ethically conscious as they can be. Over the next few weeks and months, I am going to be highlighting the various products I use, businesses I love and practices I implement to reduce my waste, re-use what I have and recyle anything else.

If you have ordered from me recently, you may have noticed some of these things already. Or you may have noticed some bubble wrap, or plastic mailing bags in your order and this is because I am a big believer in re-using materials and giving them a second life. If you have received these plastic items it is because I would have received them in orders for stock and by passing them on to you, I hope you can give them another life too! By the end of 2022 I hope to use 100% recyclable or compostable packaging materials, not a small feat but one that is so fundamentally important to me and our planet 🌏🌲

It’s been a whirlwind past few months with the Christmas rush and an equally busy January, this year has definitely started with a bang for Holly & Hamish and I couldn’t be more grateful.
