The pre-planning workshop is an educational and practical workshop to support participants, carers, and their families in preparing for their NDIS planning meeting.

The planning meeting is where all the funds are decided- knowing how to plan effectively and providing the right evidence can mean the difference between receiving a $3,000 plan to a $30,000 plan. It's worth coming prepared!

This workshop will:
-Show you how to manage your NDIS funding.
-Details of the next steps.

It's totally free to attend - Tea & Coffee plus some light refreshments will be provided

Exciting news for WA families! 💙🎉

The Child Development Service (CDS) is set for a major expansion thanks to a $39 million investment from the State Government. This funding boost will increase clinical staff and improve service infrastructure, helping to meet the rising demand for pediatric care across both metropolitan and regional areas.

That means more pediatricians, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and other specialists will be available to provide essential services to our kids.

Paediatric Intensive Support Navigation to all our families in need of tailored disability supports for their children - which can now be requested on top of the current Carer Gateway services. It's kind of like a "Medicare rebate" for our services, ensuring no family has to stretch their budget too thin to access our help!

Honouring the MVPs in our community: National Carers Week 2023!

Wow, we’ve been busy this week! We're thrilled to share some incredible moments from this special week, celebrating the dedication of caregivers from all different walks of life.

Monique, had the privilege of attending the Carers WA Carers Week Breakfast. This was a fantastic opportunity to shine a light on our mission amongst so many other leaders in this space – to ensure that every child, regardless of their abilities or medical complexities, has the chance to thrive in a nurturing childcare environment.

But that's not all! Our very own Champion Carer Gateway Connector, Kahla, was invited to represent alongside Fiona Allen, Community Development Officer for Access & Inclusion at the City of Mandurah. They discussed how the Carer Gateway provides an array of free services and support tailored specifically for our incredible caregivers.

In the spirit of appreciation, we hosted the successful Paint and Dip Event to create a safe, peer-led space to celebrate our community's dedicated caregivers.

And last, but certainly not least we attended the John Tonkin College Disability Expo at Mandurah Forum today. It was brilliant to see so many carers and their families coming through to say “Hi”.
