One community member's container saving impact has been felt beyond WA.

Rev Abdallah, a retired church minister, began his container saving journey collecting bottles and cans around a year ago on his daily walks, from neighbours and partnering restaurants.

He’s since used his refunds to help those less fortunate in North Africa when he visits throughout the year, putting the funds towards essentials such clothing and vitamins.

To date, he's accumulated $4000 in donations to date (and counting!).
