We are looking for a full time experienced chef to join our team at Parkside Pantry.

This role requires a person who ideally has broad knowledge in cooking and developing a diverse range of cultural and modern cuisines. We require our (senior) chef to have 2 years+ experience with trade qualification. In addition experience will also be required with menu writing, ability to work under pressure, adhere to OH&S and food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness standards. Characteristics also include being trustworthy, reliable, team player, positive attitude and flexibility.

If this sounds like you and you have a full Australian working visa and is someone that works well in a small but efficient team and you have strong communication skills then we look forward to meeting you.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $60,633.00 – $74,107.00 per year

Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekend

Experience: Chef: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Preferred)

Commercial Cookery Qualification: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Preferred)

Patisserie Qualification: Certificate III in Patisserie (Preferred)

Job Duties:
• Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Oversee and manage kitchen operations
• Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
• Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
• Train apprentices and other kitchen staff

Additional Duties:
• Menu planning
• Recording food temperature
