Easter long weekend shenanigans

Our January trading ours have been short and sweet but we will be commencing back to our OG hours from Monday.

We will also be open this Friday; 8-3:30pm.

Our lovely Barista Grey is jetting off back home to begin his nursing career in Korea. He will be greatly missed - from all of us at Harvest … insert* (The saddest face in the world) 🥹

What a crazy year! We’re so grateful for all of our amazing customers and can’t wait to do another year with all of you. ⚡️We will be closing at 3pm today and closed on the 1st & 2nd of Jan ⚡️

Exciting things are happening on the 1st of December.

Join us on our first ever reusable cup day - bring in a mug you use at home or a keep cup you have hidden away in your cupboard.

ALSO - whenever you come into the cafe with your own keep cup; write down your name and number in the draw to win 30 free coffees 💪

We are hoping most of you will remember you’re own cup on December 1st. However, just in case we (Village Greening) are supplying 100 keep-cups for the day that you can return later (or not) and can later be used as a cup library but primarily we want people to remember.

The cold drip is back BUT this was just a excuse for mia to model.

A unique way to brew coffee that gives the taste of a more concentrated beverage.

All about the drip….

If you order a coffee and don’t have a reusable cup with you - simply borrow a Wangim cup. It’s no extra charge and all you need to do is return the cup to a participating cafe.

Why “Wangim”?
“Wangim” is the local Woiwurrung word for “boomerang” and has been used with permission from Wurundjeri Woiwurrung Cultural Consultants.

The project is one response to our community’s waste crisis and recognises the need to nurture and protect the land that we live on.

The word “wangim” captures the idea of a cycle of reusable cups that are borrowed and returned. It is also a deliberate decision to begin to better emphasise the local Indigenous language in our shared, local lexicon.
